On April 30, Ukrainian singer KICHILA presented a new song “Day & Night”, in which she opens her heart to the memory of her husband. The composition is about their joint, peaceful life, full of love and mutual understanding, filled with emotional warmth and nostalgia.
The song “Day & Night” can be called a continuation of the singer’s previous track “Winter”. While the first song conveys painful emotions from the loss of a loved one, the second song shows the realization of this fact and pleasant memories of the beloved. Thus, both compositions demonstrate the full range of feelings that a person experiences when unjustly separated from his or her love forever due to an unexpected death. Many Ukrainians who have lost their loved ones in the war are familiar with this emotional journey.
KICHILA shared that the song “Day & Night” gives her the opportunity to leave warm memories of her husband in her work forever.
In her new song, the singer comments on life with her husband as follows: “We didn’t even have bad moments, we never hid our skeletons. I miss you like the sun, only with you did I feel like myself and I didn’t feel like I was alone.”
