The release begins with the title cut, ‘Weightless’, instantly plunging you into a pool of resonant pads and rolling rhythms before opening out into an absorbing vocal topline, alluring arps and gritty synth stabs broken up by several ethereal transitions with massive atmospheric soundscapes. ‘Free’ comes next, cutting a deeper, darker line than its predecessor.
Flooded with retro synth-wave-inspired sounds from the outset – it’s the second track to feature a stunning vocal centrepiece with pensive lyrics orbited by an ever-expanding array of harmonic elements and firmly weighted percussive cadence.
