Honored Artist of Ukraine Iryna Zinkovska presents her new song “Pakhnyut Kvitý” — a bright and heartfelt composition about love, tenderness, and the value of simple moments.
This summer, the artist began appearing less frequently on concert stages. Behind this change, however, was a personal reason that Iryna was in no rush to share publicly.
This year, the singer is expecting her second child.
“There are things you don’t want to tell the whole world about right away. You simply want to experience them first,” says Iryna.
That is why she deliberately reduced her concert schedule, putting some performances and trips on hold in order to spend more time with her family.
“The stage has always been and will always remain a great love of mine. I cannot imagine myself without music. But right now, there is another very important role in my life — being a mother. And I didn’t want to rush through this time at full speed. I wanted to truly experience it.”
According to the artist, pregnancy has changed the way she perceives life.
“I started catching myself stopping because of the simplest things. The scent of flowers, sunlight, music, the look of someone close to me. And thinking: how much we sometimes fail to notice when we are constantly rushing somewhere.”
It was this feeling that inspired “Pakhnyut Kvitý.”
The song is not directly about pregnancy. Instead, it is about a state of mind in which, after going through certain experiences, you begin to appreciate the simplest things more deeply: being close to loved ones, embracing the person you love, seeing flowers, and listening to music.
“I feel that today we all understand the value of life more deeply than ever. We are learning to appreciate things we may once have taken for granted — waking up in the morning, embracing someone close to us, listening to music, seeing flowers. And I wanted to write a song precisely about that — about experiencing life while it is actually happening.”
The music and arrangement were created by Ukrainian composer, arranger and songwriter Volodymyr Budeichuk, Iryna’s husband. His creative portfolio includes collaborations with Natalia Buchynska, Oksana Bilozir, Pavlo Zibrov, Mykhailo Hrytskan, Iryna Bilyk, Viktor Pavlik and other well-known Ukrainian artists.

The lyrics were written by Ukrainian songwriter and poet Larysa Arkhypenko.
For Iryna, “Pakhnyut Kvitý” has become a musical diary of a summer that changed her from within.
“I wouldn’t call it a pause. I simply allowed myself not to rush. The stage hasn’t gone anywhere. Music hasn’t gone anywhere either. It’s just that right now, there is something in my life that is more important to me than any schedule.”
At the same time, the artist has no intention of leaving the stage. On the contrary, the new composition marks the beginning of a new creative chapter for her.
Iryna Zinkovska’s songs continue to attract attention on social media. In particular, “Malyna” has experienced a new wave of popularity on TikTok, while “Lotos” and other songs by the artist are also being used by social media users.
“I want everyone to hear something of their own in this song. Perhaps they will remember someone they love. Perhaps their own summer. Perhaps a moment they would like to preserve. For me, this song will always remain about one very important period of my life,” says Iryna.
