Ukrainian singer NATIYA presents her original composition “Shades of Grey” — the song she submitted to the National Selection for Eurovision. It is a deep and emotional story about inner struggle, the pain of loss, and the path toward healing.
The track was created in Georgia in collaboration with some of the country’s strongest sound producers. It was there that the song’s distinctive sound was born — modern, atmospheric, and at the same time deeply personal. NATIYA wrote both the music and the lyrics, infusing the composition with her own experiences and emotions.

“Shades of Grey” tells the story of moments when the world loses its colors and life feels like a series of “shades of grey.” The lyrical heroine seeks refuge from pain, tries to escape the labyrinth of memories, and let go of what can no longer be changed. The powerful chorus, featuring the lines “I CAN’T SAY, I wish I could have come back to replay…”, conveys the depth of emotion and a lingering sense of incompleteness.
“This song is about the state of going through loss while still believing that you will see colors in your life again. It is very personal to me. I wrote it during a period of inner transformation, and Georgia became the place where this story found its sound,” NATIYA shares.
The composition combines heartfelt vocals, contemporary production, and emotional intensity that gradually unfolds from the verses to the climactic chorus. “Shades of Grey” is a soundtrack for those who are going through difficult times but continue to move forward.
