Breaking Holiday Stereotypes: Angela Rejects the "Picture-Perfect" Christmas in Her Newest Music Video

Breaking Holiday Stereotypes: Angela Rejects the “Picture-Perfect” Christmas in Her Newest Music Video

Posted on 6 January 2026 By Admin No Comments on Breaking Holiday Stereotypes: Angela Rejects the “Picture-Perfect” Christmas in Her Newest Music Video

Twinkling lights, falling snow, and the realization that the greatest miracle is the person by your side.

Angela presents the music video for her song “Novorichne Dyvo” (“New Year’s Miracle”), transforming a winter love track into a warm visual tapestry of different festive moments.

In this video, the singer moves away from a single “correct” image of New Year’s and instead showcases its many facets. “Novorichne Dyvo” (“New Year’s Miracle”) is a story about how the person next to you becomes more important than any date on the calendar—a sentiment revealed through shifting moods, locations, and styles.

Angela appears in several personas, living through different holiday scenarios. There is the gentle winter stroll under the snow—the singer wearing a trendy traditional huna (Ukrainian fur coat) amidst pine trees and warm glows. The slow-moving camera catches snowflakes in her hair, filling the space with silence and anticipation—the exact moment when you simply want to be near someone special.

Another scene captures a domestic, raw atmosphere. In a cozy sweater, with a simple hair bun and no stage glamour, Angela appears in a lived-in space where the holiday is found in the small things: fairy lights, a Christmas tree, peace, and a sense of security. This look is for those who welcome the New Year at their own pace—not necessarily loud, but always sincere.

In stark contrast, her appearance in a striking red dress serves as a symbol of warmth, love, and inner radiance. The color red acts as an emotional accent throughout the video, representing the courage to be seen and the permission to feel joy and festivity not “for others,” but for oneself.

Light plays a special role in the video—soft, Christmassy, and alive. It doesn’t blind; it envelops, highlighting the textures of fabrics, the glint of snow, the pauses between words, and the intimacy of a gaze. The video is crafted to make the viewer feel as though they are experiencing these moments alongside the artist.

“I wanted to show that the New Year doesn’t have just one script. Someone might be in silence, someone at home, someone in a red dress—and each of these states is real. Because the ultimate miracle is the person beside you,” Angela shares.

The video for “Novorichne Dyvo” (“New Year’s Miracle”) becomes a visual extension of a song about love as an anchor—when someone remains your warmth even in the coldest season. It is a story not about a “perfect” holiday, but about presence, closeness, and the choice to live through the New Year in your own way.

“Novorichne Dyvo” (“New Year’s Miracle”) is an invitation to slow down, stop competing with the holiday, and allow yourself to feel: you are someone’s miracle. And that is enough.
