Ukrainian singer Olena Nosalii releases “Yakby zh to” — an honest and sensual story about how true love begins where illusions end.
The song was born literally in the stairwell: the first words and melody came to the singer at night when she was returning home. Climbing the stairs, she took out a voice recorder and recorded her thoughts right there in the stairwell.
“If Only” is a soundtrack to adult relationships: with passion and words of love, with closeness and distance, with boundaries and working on mutual respect. In this story, there is room for both joy and irritation — but the main thing is that the two choose each other every day. “This song is like a mirror that I look into with my partner. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we argue, but we always see each other in it,” adds the singer.
