Experimental Ukrainian music project New Laconia presents a new single – Stardust Bear Bazaar, Pt. 2 – a continuation of the debut track that opens the doors to a unique musical universe.

The project’s founder, Alex Syniakov, reimagines the boundaries of modern music, blending elements of pop culture, classic genres, and futuristic imagination. At the heart of New Laconia’s universe is an interdimensional pub called Stardust Bear Bazaar – a haven of comfort and escape, located inside a time loop. The central character is The Bear, who opens portals to other worlds and welcomes guests from the farthest corners of reality.

The first part of the track was a sci-fi-inspired mini-detective story. It introduced listeners to The Bear – the pub’s owner who, manipulated by the villain named Time, becomes entangled in events where portals function as time machines. Realizing the looming threat, The Bear travels to the past to hide two artifacts – a key and a map – hoping to change the course of events by influencing his past self.

In Stardust Bear Bazaar, Pt. 2, the story continues. New characters emerge, including The Stranger, covered in stardust, who finds himself in an altered reality. Time, the main antagonist, begins to affect the very structure of the portals, confronting the characters with internal dilemmas and external threats.

The composition experiments with a wide range of styles – from distortion and tenor vocals, piano and saxophone to accordion and Arabic motifs. Shifting tempos, genre transitions, and unexpected harmonies create a fully immersive experience in a world where every sound tells a story of its own.

The single will be part of New Laconia’s debut album – a project that not only explores new dimensions of fantasy and science fiction in music but also unites previously incompatible genres, crafting a true symphony of experimentation.

Stardust Bear Bazaar, Pt. 2 is now available on all streaming platforms.
