DDEVA - "The Sea" (Hali REMIX): The best vibes of the 80s that conquer the charts

DDEVA – “The Sea” (Hali REMIX): The best vibes of the 80s that conquer the charts

The popular track “Sea” by the famous singer DDEVA got a second wind from the Polish DJ Hali. Now a lyrical composition close to millions of people has every chance to conquer dance charts and clubs across Europe.
For the first time, the track “Sea” by DDEVA was released last year. The song reinterpreted the events of the first months since the beginning of the full-scale invasion: “The song was written in Italy, where my husband sent me and my child. I was afraid for the child, so I agreed. But the only desire, being abroad, far from his family, was to return home. The song was born when I was with my daughter by the sea, I watched how carefree she was playing, how happy she was, and I sat and did not know what to do next with my life, I thought whether I would be able to return home at all,” said DDEVA.

The sensual song gained success on streaming platforms and caught the attention of Polish DJ Hali, who heard the track on Spotify and decided to give it a new sound, using the best elements of 80s dance music: “During my work, I was inspired by the sounds of dusty 80s-style analog synthesizers SYNTHWAVE and SYNTH POP. In the remix, I used the sounds of the JUNO, PROPHET, KORG synthesizer and drum machines such as TR – 808 and MPC. All of this is topped off with appropriate 80s reverbs from the likes of LEXICON and AMS,” the DJ stated.
Hali did his work remotely and sent it to DDEVA and the team for review. The artist liked the track, and the remix itself was highly appreciated by the dance music superstar Taly Shum, whose tracks have been conquering the world charts for a long time.

The remix of the track “Sea” is a good example of rethinking the composition while preserving its lyrical content: “The remix has a light vibe of the deep house style, the song is not overloaded, it retains its lightness, but with a new interpretation. Hali, in my opinion, conveyed the mood and message in the arrangement of the remix,” noted DDEVA.
