Poland at Junior Eurovision 2024: Dominik Arim with “All Together”

Posted on 25 October 2024 By Admin No Comments on Poland at Junior Eurovision 2024: Dominik Arim with “All Together”

Poland is a force at Junior Eurovision. They have entered the contest eleven times, won twice and failed to make the top ten in only three showings. After such strong results in previous years, Poland this year have selected talented young singer Dominik Arim to carry the red and white flag to represent them with his uplifting anthem “All Together.”

Poland in Junior Eurovision 2024: Dominik Arim with “All Together”

Polish broadcaster TVP chose the Polish representative through the television program Szansa na sukces — Chance for Success in English — which has been used to select Junior Eurovision contestants since 2019.

Dominik qualified from his heat and into the final with his rendition of ABBA’s “Waterloo”. In the final, he showcased Germany’s Eurovision 2010 winning song “Satellite”. Then, in the second round of the final, he went head-to-head against Aleksandra Antoniak, singing this year’s JESC entry for Poland “All Together”.

Hailing from a small town in northern Poland, Bobowo, Dominik Arim is a rising star who gained national attention through his impressive performances in The Voice Kids Poland. He sang Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand”, and all four judges turned their chairs and vied for him to join their team.

What do the “All Together” lyrics mean?

“All Together” offers a powerful message of unity and empowerment. The lyrics emphasise the importance of collaboration and the collective strength that arises when individuals come together for a common cause.

The recurring line “One for all – all for one” sets the tone for the entire song, echoing the idea that solidarity can lead to meaningful change. This sentiment is particularly relevant in today’s world, where divisions can seem insurmountable. Dominik’s lyrics invite his audience to join forces, suggesting that together, they can “change the world” and “break the wall” — metaphors for making a positive impact and overcoming obstacles.

Throughout the song, Dominik asserts his growth and independence, declaring, “I’m not a little kid – no more.” This line highlights his transition from childhood to adulthood, where he acknowledges his ability to advocate for himself.

The message of resilience is further reinforced in the line “I will fight for my future – and that is fair.” Here, Dominik expresses a sense of justice and the right to strive for a better life. His declaration of fearlessness— “I’m not afraid to bloom like a flower” — serves as a metaphor for personal growth and the beauty that can emerge from embracing one’s true self.

Ultimately, “All Together” serves as an anthem for collective action and the importance of caring for one another. The chorus reiterates the song’s core message: when united, individuals can create significant change.

With its uplifting message, “All Together” is not just a song for Junior Eurovision; it’s a call to action for a generation eager to shape their world.

“All Together” lyrics – Dominik Arim (Poland JESC 2024)

Lyrics: Aldona Dąbrowska, Music: Sławomir Sokolowski

Original text

One for all, all for one
Połączeni siłą aby zmieniać świat
Zburzyć mur dzielący nas
Wszyscy razem Ty i Ja i każdy z nas

Proszę nie mów że mam jeszcze czas
Przede mną wiele dróg ja wiem
Razem jesteśmy silni uwierz mi
Kto jak nie My

Wszyscy razem Ty i Ja
Połączeni siłą, aby zmieniać świat
Zburzyć mur dzielący nas
Wszyscy razem Ty i Ja i każdy z nas

Proszę nie mów że zaczekać mam
Rozumiem czuję i to wiem
Na mojej drodze do marzeń
Uwierz mi nie stanie nic

One for all, all for one
All together we can change the world again
Let’s be one the time has come
All together we can break the wall again

I’m not afraid to bloom like a flower to live
Na mojej drodze do marzeń
Uwierz mi nie stanie nic

One for all, all for one
All together we, we can change the world

English translation

One for all – all for one
All together we can change the world – again
Let’s be one – the time has come
All together we can break the wall – again

Please – don’t tell me – you still have time
I’m not a little kid – no more
Please don’t tell me – don’t hurt me
It’s not fair – because I care

One for all – all for one
All together we can change the world – again
Let’s be one – the time has come
All together we can break the wall – again

Don’t destroy my dreams – I’m not afraid
I’m not a little kid – no more
I will fight for my future – and that is fair
Because I care

One for all – all for one
All together we can change the world – again
Let’s be one – the time has come
All together we can break the wall – again

I’m not afraid to bloom like a flower – to live
I will fight for my future – and that is fair
Because I care

One for all – all for one
All together we – we can change the world
