The Vintage Marché Founder Lili Aghaei Shares Why It-Girls Love Her Finds — and How to Care for Yours

Marché magic! Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Sydney Sweeney, Jessica Alba, Nina Dobrev, and more It-girls have been flocking to The Vintage Marché in Los Angeles, California to snag pre-loved designer handbags, shoes, belts, and jewelry.

The showroom, home to treasures from Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Fendi, Dior, and other top fashion houses, has quickly become a go-to destination for stars looking to score hard to get items.

Lili Aghaei, founder of the business, says the draw starts with the rarity of the items she sources.

“I’ve always been obsessed with vintage luxury pieces that no one else had. Growing up, my mom and grandmother would take me to antique shops, consignment stores, and estate sales, and I fell in love with the hunt and the thrill,” she explains.

Now, Aghaei is sharing that same feeling with celebrities, and everyone else who appreciates a good find.

“My vintage vibe is refined and quietly luxurious but always rooted in storytelling. I’m drawn to timeless pieces with real craftsmanship that carry a kind of soul and magic you just can’t recreate today,” the curator shares.

“People know that when they come to us, they’re getting editorial-worthy treasures that look new, but have the history and uniqueness of vintage.”

As for what’s trending this holiday season: “Creamy beiges, rich chocolates, and classic blacks, with pops of deep red, burgundy, and gold give a festive, polished feel. … Textures are having a moment too, especially pony hair and exotic skins.”

Luckily, shoppers will find plenty of those details in The Fall Edit: Part II, dropping Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. PST.

Once you’ve snagged your picks, Aghaei says proper care is essential.

“Treat each piece like the little work of art it is. … These pieces have lived a life before you, so a little extra care helps them stay beautiful for decades to come.”

Her biggest tip? Focus on storage.

“Keep handbags stuffed to maintain their shape, avoid direct sunlight, and use dust bags or breathable covers. For shoes, rotate wear and avoid exposing delicate materials like satin or pony hair to moisture. When it comes to cleaning, less is more. A soft cloth, gentle leather conditioner, and professional maintenance once or twice a year go a long way.”

And when it’s time to get dressed, Aghaei recommends striking the right balance with your old and new items.

“If your vintage piece has texture or character, keep the rest of your outfit streamlined. If your clothing is minimal, it’s the perfect moment to let a standout vintage accessory shine. When you blend the two, you get this effortless, elevated look that feels personal, timeless, and completely your own.”
