Social Media Star Tezza Barton Reveals the Exact Method She Uses to Take Perfect Photos

Say cheese! Social media star Tezza Barton is known for sharing her vintage-inspired aesthetic with her 1.1 million Instagram followers thanks to the launch of her photo editing app, Tezza, in 2018.

Since then, the unique filters have garnered celeb fans like Kourtney Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Graham, and Olivia Wilde, and now, photography enthusiasts can experience them in a new way with the Tezza Custom Photo Booth.

“We wanted to build something that strikes a chord beyond the screen and something you could hold in your hands and walk away with,” the influencer explains.

“It’s like stepping inside the app. You see the effect before the photo prints and experience real-time nostalgia with no editing required,” she adds.

To ensure your snaps come out picture-perfect, Barton spilled her tried-and-true tips with ET.

“A single photo can tell an entire story. … Let loose and don’t take it too seriously. Candid photos are better than posed ones,” the entrepreneur says.

“Grab your bestie, bring your drink, or throw on sunnies. Props and play are the secret. … It’s about creating a mood, a feeling, and a moment you want to keep,” she continues.

To take it up a notch, the artist swears by specific picture-taking methods so that she’s always ready for her close-up.

“Golden hour is your best friend. … Great lighting is more important than a great outfit, so always avoid midday sun. If you are dealing with tough lighting, turn on your digital camera flash for an instant cool look,” she suggests.

“On the iPhone, shoot in 2x or 3x to add drama and make everything look cleaner, and use burst mode for real, candid movement,” Barton notes.
