Angela — “This Is Not My Flight”: A Bittersweet Farewell with a Smile

Ukrainian pop star Angela continues her artistic evolution, exploring all facets of modern womanhood through music. Her new single, “This Is Not My Flight,” is another bold take on love that sets itself apart from traditional pop ballads. With this release, Angela offers a fresh perspective on endings — one without pain, bitterness, or blame — something still rare in Eastern European music culture.

“This Is Not My Flight” is a song about mature, emotionally healthy relationships. It tells the story of a woman who lets go with an open heart, realizing that being together just isn’t meant to be. I’m singing about someone who has experience, knows what she wants, and doesn’t blame a partner who simply can’t give her that right now,” Angela shares about the song’s lyrical heroine.

The single is a thematic and musical continuation of her previous hit “Prove It” — a fiery summer anthem full of rhythm and passion. While inspired by Latin beats just like its predecessor, “This Is Not My Flight” brings a more tender, melodic, and introspective sound.

“The story that started in ‘Prove It’ now comes full circle,” Angela says. “That track was about leaving the past behind — exes, failures, doubts — and just dancing it all off. It was a song about summer romance and wild emotions. But every adventure has its moment to end — before it turns into disillusionment. ‘This Is Not My Flight’ is about knowing when to say goodbye — and doing it with grace.”

Angela will debut the song live on July 6 at the “Chosen by the Country” Awards, where she’ll be performing as the evening’s headliner.

“This Is Not My Flight” is now available on all streaming platforms.
