New music this week (part 2): Songs from Louane, Alessandra, Andrei Ursu and more

Posted on 15 June 2025 By Admin No Comments on New music this week (part 2): Songs from Louane, Alessandra, Andrei Ursu and more

Summer is the quiet period for Eurovision fans as we wait for the new season to commence. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 24 part 2

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 1 here.

Dan Black feat. Louane – “Orchestra”

We start the second part of our weekly round-up with Louane, who represented France this year and finished in seventh place at the grand final. This week, her powerful voice joins forces with Dan Black’s in an electrifying collaboration. Sung half in English and half in French, it was originally released 20 years ago by The Servant, Black’s former band. The group has just released an anniversary version of one of their most popular hits. But this is not just a reproduction—the duo has given the song a brand-new feel, making major changes to the original.

About the new version, Dan Black said:

“I didn’t want to just slavishly reproduce the originals, I wanted to bring them into the spirit of my present musical world, but with maybe a few extra spices. So it’s still, one guitar, some tape drones, pots and pans meet machines drums, but, also, I reached out to some old friends to bring some extra fresh freshness.”

Amir – “Nous”

Also from France, we have Amir, who represented the country at Eurovision in 2016. This week, he returns with a powerful new song about hope, titled “Ours.” The track is quintessentially Amir—emotive, uplifting, and instantly recognisable—and fans are responding with overwhelming enthusiasm. It has the feel of a future live-concert favourite, and anticipation is already building. In the meantime, Amir has begun promoting the single with a live performance on 1620RFM.

Alessandra – “Toscana”

Alessandra made Norway proud at Eurovision 2023, and now she’s embracing her Italian heritage in her latest musical projects. Her newest release draws inspiration from classic Italian music and comes with a vibrant music video that feels like a guided tour through the heart of Tuscany. The song is a bold, empowering anthem—a soundtrack for moving on and reclaiming joy. With lyrics like “I’m feeling myself / Covered my stitches in Dolce Gabbana / I ain’t got time for your shit / I’m with my bitches drinking in Toscana,” Alessandra reminds us that when life gets tough, sometimes the best escape is a little glam, good friends, and a taste of Italy.

About the message of her song, Alessandra proudly expressed: “Let’s say that if you need a song to get over someone, this is the one.”

alyona alyona – “Там, де немає людей”

Back in 2024, Ukraine was represented by the powerful female duo of alyona alyona and Jerry Heil. This week, alyona alyona returns with a new track titled “Where There Are No People.” The song once again showcases her incredible talent as both a singer and rapper. Accompanied by a visually striking music video filled with slow-motion shots, dramatic lighting, shadows, and fragmented narratives, the track explores themes of emotional exhaustion and isolation. It delves into the feeling of being so mentally drained that you withdraw from others and shut yourself off. Yet, at its core, the message is clear: we need other people in our lives to overcome the challenges we face.

About the message of her newest track, alyona alyona said:

“When fatigue sets in or problems arise in life, many people, including me, try to avoid communication and run away from the world to be alone. It seems like the right thing to do. But, left alone with yourself and your thoughts, you always realize: a person needs a person. Even a simple conversation with friends brings relief. Although you just share a story, which does not necessarily lead to solving problems. Only where there are people, there is love.”

Brunette – “TRY”

Brunette, who represented Armenia at Eurovision 2023, is back with a powerful new bop accompanied by a futuristic, sci-fi-inspired music video. The track centres around the theme of taking control and reshaping the future, with a standout chorus declaring: “Say try try / I change the future / Whether you come or I go.” The song reflects Brunette’s determination not to settle for less—she’s ready to move forward on her own, if that’s what it takes to build a better tomorrow.

Andrei Ursu – Canciones del Corazón

Performing under the stage name wrs, Andrei represented Romania at Eurovision 2022. Last year, he paid tribute to Romanian retro music with a nostalgic album—but this week, he returns with Songs of Soul, a new project inspired by Spanish folk and classic music. The album features seven tracks in Spanish, including fan favourite “Sin Amor” (“Without Love”). Among the highlights are “La Noche” (“The Night”), the Spanish version of his Romanian track “Noaptea ne fură iubiri” (“The Night Steals Our Loves”), and “Enamorados tantas veces” (“In Love So Many Times”), the Spanish rendition of “Îndrăgostiți de atâtea ori.”

Ursu also dropped a vibrant music video for “Te Lo Daría Todo” (“I Would Give You Everything”), an infectious, dance-filled celebration that invites listeners to move and feel the rhythm.

Gjon’s Tears & Philippine Lavrey – “L’éclat de nous”

Gjon was originally selected to represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2020, before the contest was cancelled due to the pandemic, and he returned to the stage in 2021. This week, he teams up with French singer Philippine Lavrey for a stunning duet titled “The Brilliance of Us.” The song serves as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming musical La Légende de Monte Cristo. Their voices blend beautifully, building excitement for the production, which is set to premiere in January next year and will tour across France, Switzerland, and Belgium.

Marek Dyjak feat. Kasia Moś – “Nie mów mi”

Kasia, who represented Poland at Eurovision 2017, returns this week with a powerful new collaboration alongside Marek Dyjak titled “Don’t Tell Me.” The track is a poignant ballad, accompanied by a visually striking music video that contrasts black-and-white and colour scenes to tell a captivating, emotional story. The song explores the bittersweet consequences of choosing to walk life’s path alone. Composed by Marek Dyjak, it stands out as one of his most honest, raw, and poetic works to date.

About their collaboration, Kasia said:

“I love Marek, my brother loves him, my parents love him. Poetry hovers over his head! It’s an honour to sing with him. This song has a wonderful melody and lyrics that are very sad, but also leave a ray of hope. When I recorded my part in the studio, I felt that I had taken part in something unforgettable. Anyone who knows Marek’s life story knows that he is an incredibly strong man and that he always sings about himself – he fell many times, but he always got up and did beautiful things. This is one of the most beautiful.”

Madame Monsieur – “Plus fort que toi”

The French duo Madame Monsieur, who represented their country at Eurovision in 2018, returns with a deeply moving new single titled “Stronger Than You.” A true chanson masterpiece, the song captivates with the flawless harmony of their voices in the chorus and the raw, emotional delivery of Émilie’s verses.

Tackling the painful topic of absent fathers, the lyrics explore the strength of mothers who must rebuild their lives—for themselves and their children—after facing hardship. Above all, it’s a song about resilience, the unexpected twists life throws our way, and the courage to piece together a brighter future from the fragments of the past.

They described their song as:

“To all the FATHERS who chose to run away, this song is like a mirror. To all the MOTHERS who stay and stand firm in the storm, this song is like a tribute. To all the CHILDREN who were missing a piece of love, this song is like a Band-Aid.”

Leon of Athens feat. Katerine Duska – “TI NA NAI AYTO”

Katerine, who represented Greece at Eurovision in 2019, returns this week with a new duet alongside rising Greek star Leon of Athens—an artist many expect to see on the Eurovision stage in the near future. Their latest track, “This Is It,” is accompanied by a vibrant lyric video and delivers the perfect soundtrack for summer. Though this isn’t their first collaboration, fans can’t seem to get enough of their chemistry and unique sound. With its catchy melody and warm, uplifting vibe, “This Is It” is set to become a seasonal favourite.

Fahree & İlkin Dovletov – “Ağrıkəsici”

The duo Fahree and İlkin represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision last year, but their collaboration goes beyond just one performance. United by a strong friendship, they’ve teamed up again for a new project titled “Painkiller.” The song offers a perfect blend of modern sounds with subtle traditional influences woven into the background. Its lyrics explore the theme of numbing the pain that life sometimes throws our way, creating a heartfelt and relatable listening experience.

Rasmussen & Thomas Buttenschøn – “Halvvejs”

Rasmussen, unforgettable for representing Denmark at Eurovision 2018, is back with a fresh new collaboration. This week, he joins forces with fellow Danish artist Thomas Buttenschøn—born in Zambia—for the upbeat single “Halfways.” With its feel-good vibe and catchy melody, the track is a perfect addition to your summer playlist, especially for road trips. And there’s more good news: this is just the beginning, as the duo promises more music together in the near future.

Magdalena Tul feat. Maya – “Lustro”

Magdalena, who represented Poland at Eurovision in 2011, returns this week with a deeply personal release titled “Mirror,” a duet with her daughter, Maya. The song is a powerful ballad, elevated by a rich string orchestra and accompanied by a beautifully crafted music video filled with expressive ballet.

Marking her first Polish-language release in some time—following a series of English-language songs—”Mirror” is a poignant musical journey into the self and the relationship with one’s inner child. Set against symbolic and evocative scenography, the video features Magdalena dancing alongside her daughter, adding an intimate and profoundly moving layer to the project.

Jessika – “Empire”

Jessika, who represented San Marino at Eurovision 2018 alongside Jenifer Brening, is back with a powerful and empowering new track. The song is a true confidence booster—an anthem about standing tall in the face of adversity. With her signature powerhouse vocals, Jessika delivers a message of resilience and self-belief. She’s not holding back—she’s ready to build her own empire, with no limits in sight.

Little Big, EXVCT & Polar – “Hearts Accelerating”

Little Big, who were set to represent Russia at Eurovision 2020 before the contest was cancelled, are back with a high-energy collaboration alongside EXVCT and Polar. Their latest track is a full-throttle party anthem that’s guaranteed to get your heart racing. With its pulsating beat and electrifying sound, the song transports listeners to another dimension—perfect for raves, dance floors, or kicking off a wild night. It’s bold, fun, and unmistakably Little Big.

Uku Suviste – “Vaata mulle silma”

And we wrap up this week’s round-up with Uku, who was originally selected to represent Estonia at Eurovision 2020, returning to the stage in 2021. His latest release, “Look Me in the Eyes,” is a bright and serene track that radiates summer vibes. Despite its uplifting sound, the song poignantly explores the emotions of a breakup—capturing that delicate space between an ending and a new beginning. The chorus reflects this duality beautifully: “Look into my eyes / Just once before our light will disappear. / The stars write / Both our end and the beginning of summer.” Fittingly, the track was released on Uku’s birthday, 6 June, making it all the more personal.

Which of these new songs is your favourite? Have we missed out on any? Do you have any artists you want to shout out to? Let us know in the comments.
