The grand final of Eurovision 2025 is almost upon us. By the end of the night, one of this year’s acts will finally be crowned the winner and walk away with the prestigious microphone trophy.
The Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of musical unprofessionals — first rated the 37 competing songs way back in late March, with predominantly only studio cuts available. Finland’s Erika Vikman came out on top of the jury ranking. Albania’s Shkodra Elektronike and Sweden’s KAJ closely followed in second and third respectively.
However, all of this was done before seeing any of the live performances at the semi-finals. Like many, our thoughts changed after witnessing what the acts brought to the stage in Basel. So we thought it was only right to reveal the Wiwi Jury’s updated favourites ahead of the Eurovision 2025 grand final.
Once again our jury is truly international. The 10 members hail from Australia, Cyprus, Romania, Norway, USA, and the UK.

Wiwi Jury 2025 – Updated Individual Top 10
Antranig
12 points: Austria
My most improved is Switzerland, who has simply put together one of the most breath-taking performances in Eurovision history. And between her and my top 3, I can’t split them. But I’m sticking with Austria to win it all. The performance was an emotional whirlwind, the vocals are flawless and both the melody and message are gripping. I like the monochrome vibe but I would’ve liked some colour once the song moved into its dance floor phase. That aside, overall, it’s hard to fault such a spectacular package.

Albania took me by surprise. I liked their song from the start, but the way they brought it to life on stage makes me think they could actually win. It’s one of those songs where, even if you don’t understand the lyrics, you can still feel the emotion. The interaction between them is fantastic, and their staging manages to be effective without drawing attention away from them or the song. It’s one of those moments that instantly gives me winner vibes.

Semi-final 2 was all about how this was Erika Vikman’s world and how we were all living in it. She learned how precisely to balance her showmanship and bombastic sexual quality in such a way that made the whole package perfect. Never excessive, always hitting the right spot, and doing this outré song just how it had to be. It’s up there in the most charismatic and arresting performances of the decade.

Goosebumps! The voice, the staging, THE TALENT. Definitely winning vibes from Austria. JJ took us on a three-minute journey to his soul.

“Asteromata” is the type of entry that comes alive on the big stage, even if you’ve played the studio recording a million times on repeat. Klavdia is a force to be reckoned with as she delivered one of the strongest vocal performances across both semi-finals. From start to finish, she conveys pure longing and strength. I did not draw a full breath until her performance was fully over. The staging, especially the background graphics and the sparing use of the single backup dancer, are sublime. They elevate the poignant story of the song, without taking the focus away from Klavdia.

In a year with a lot of fun entries and underwhelming songs, Israel sends this classic, incredibly beautiful ballad. The only song of the year that brings tears to my eyes, even without her backstory. It works very well in English, Hebrew and French. Her performance in the semi was fantastic, considering what happened a few hours earlier, and it’s great to see an entry that focuses on the song instead of gimmicks or costume changes.

This has come leaps and bounds since Supernova, and it is one of the most beautiful performances this year. They were always this good though, fans just needed to listen! I’m so proud of them, and I hope they get a result they deserve. It’ll be hard with Netherlands and Finland following but I believe in them.

My favourite entry of Eurovision 2025 is Erika Vikman and her sex positive pop banger “ICH KOMME”. This song is big, it’s in your face and it is unforgettable. It feels like you have entered a sex cult, you have had the Kool-aide and you want to run through a brick wall at the end. The beat is irresistible, Erika is very talented and has an incredible voice. It feels like it’s her world and we are living in it. This is brilliant pop music and I can guarantee you we will be blown away one way or another.

One of my biggest questions this season was whether Shkodra Elektonike could translate the feeling of their Festivali i Këngës performance to the bigger Basel arena. I’m delighted that they have not only done that, but also upped things by 100. This is captivating from start to finish. Beatriçe delivers a perfect vocal performance whilst commanding the stage. The duality of Kolë’s appearance is portrayed brilliantly through the graphics and lighting to help casual viewers understand the pair’s dynamic. And the song itself remains a hypnotic three-minute journey. Regardless of result, to me this is absolutely Albania’s best ever Eurovision entry.

In accordance with Eurovision rules, the winner of a tie is the country that received points from more jurors. Should a second tie-break be needed, this is won by the country that received the most 12 points, then 10 points, all the way down to 1.
And there you have it. Our updated Wiwi Jury ranking for Eurovision 2025 sees Albania rising to the top (after winning a tie break with Finland).
In only a few short hours, we’ll finally see who will be declared the winner of Eurovision 2025. Will our new favourite Albania take the crown? Or could tied pick of Finland secure the victory? All will be revealed when the 26 acts take to the Basel stage.
