Poll: Which Big Five nation has the best song at Eurovision 2025?

Posted on 1 April 2025 By Admin No Comments on Poll: Which Big Five nation has the best song at Eurovision 2025?

The ‘Big Five’ has become a long-standing concept at Eurovision.

It started just before the new millennium to ensure the biggest financial backers of the EBU and the contest (France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, with Italy gaining the status when they returned in 2011) were guaranteed a slot in the competition, protecting themselves from being relegated. Once semifinals were implemented, the benefits changed to ensure those countries would be guaranteed a slot in the grand final instead.

This means, besides the host country Switzerland, we will be seeing these following five songs in Saturday’s grand final.

But which of the Big Five is your favourite? Do you think any of them will be able to win the whole contest? You now have the chance to vote in the poll below.

You can vote for as many as you’d like, but you can only vote once. So choose wisely!

The Big Five entries of Eurovision 2025

France: Louane – “maman”

The last song to be revealed to grand expectations, Louane is bringing the emotional ballad “maman”

Germany: Abor & Tynna – “Baller”

Winning Chefsache ESC 2025, Abor & Tynna are bringing “Baller”, an electropop dance song that marks the first time in twenty years Germany sends a song in German.

Italy: Lucio Corsi – “Volevo essere un duro”

After Olly declined, the ticket to Eurovision went to Sanremo’s runner-up, the singer-songwriter Lucio Corsi with “Volevo essere un duro.”

Spain: Melody – “Esa Diva”

Hugely popular in her country, Melody stormed through Benidorm Fest 2025, earning her ticket to Basel with “Esa Diva”

UK: Remember Monday – “What the Hell Just Happened?”

The West End trio Remember Monday were selected to fly the British flag with the eclectic number “What the hell just happened?”
