Miriana Conte is “SERVING ahh…” (not KANT) in Malta’s Eurovision revamp

Posted on 14 March 2025 By Admin No Comments on Miriana Conte is “SERVING ahh…” (not KANT) in Malta’s Eurovision revamp

When life gives you lemons, make some damn lemonade. When you’re told to change your Eurovision lyrics at the last minute, make a humorous, high-end music video that shows you’re still in the game — and in an even better position than before.

That’s exactly what Malta’s Miriana Conte has done this evening with her newly titled song “SERVING.” The song formerly known as “KANT” is largely identical besides the chorus, where Miriana now sings, “Serving ahhh.”

The silence allows the audience to fill-in-the-blank however they see fit. We have no doubt that Miriana and her dancers will use their bodies to guide them toward an appropriate conclusion. The sound of the audience shouting in unison will help the song retain its spirit of empowerment — and its cheekiness.

The video shows Miriana co-opting so much of the shade that has been directed at her — before, during and after the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. Like a modern and far better looking Rumpelstiltskin, she turns it into comedy gold. Bystanders echo the hateful comments that flooded social media even before she won in Malta. These include comments deriding her body, suggesting that she take the weight-loss drug Ozempic, and saying that she was wearing “trashy” clothes.

People said she was “dead” after the EBU demands. But our girl proves that she’s very much alive. Nodding to the haters, she literally wears trash bags (and looks great doing it). She also dresses as a table with plates of spaghetti, a reference to serving, but also do those hateful comments about her weight. And she also demonstrates extreme body confidence in a champagne-coloured bustier while playing with her pearls in the bedroom. Get it, girl!

The day the EBU told her that she’d need to change her song, Miriana courageously wrote on Instagram, “DIVA NOT DOWN.” She references that as well: it’s written on her tombstone in the video. But like many a queen before her she rises — and so do the souls of so many in her army who stand with her as she gets ready to slay the stage in Basel.

Reaction to SERVING — Miriana Conte
