Listen: Spain Reveals Benidorm Fest 2025 Songs

Posted on 18 December 2024 By Admin No Comments on Listen: Spain Reveals Benidorm Fest 2025 Songs

The wait is over! Spain’s Broadcaster – RTVE – has revealed today the 16 songs competing at Benidorm Fest 2025 in a special press release event live from Madrid. The event is now also fully available on YouTube:

Dive into this year’s lineup and see who might take the crown this year next:

Click on the song titles to listen to this year’s entries. The competing songs will be exclusively available on RTVE’s ‘RTVE Play‘ platform until Friday, December 20th. Starting at midnight on Friday, the songs will then be released across all digital platforms, as confirmed by the artists on social media.

Please note, most official music videos will be released in the coming weeks.

The show is less than two-months away until it kicks off. This year, RTVE saw an influx of nearly 1,000 song entries — a new high for Benidorm Fest.

Back in November, César Vallejo, Benidorm Fest’s co-director, highlighted the impressive diversity of genres in this year’s lineup, noting the challenging selection process. “Many outstanding entries couldn’t make it through,” he shared. César also clarified that, unlike in past years when RTVE extended direct invitations to established artists, this time, every single submission—including those of the chosen participants for Benidorm Fest 2025—came in through the same song submission form.

RTVE has advanced today that the traditional orange carpet, which serves as Benidorm Fest’s inauguration event, will not take place this year following last October’s Spanish floods in the autonomous region of Valencian Community.

Additionally, as RTVE announced last summer, fans will have the opportunity to vote ‘free of charge’ via an app for this edition. However, the demoscopic jury vote, which was typically composed of a panel representing a sample of the Spanish population, will not be used this year. “It no longer makes sense to have a demoscopic vote now that we will implement a free app vote,” explained Ana María Bordas, Spain’s Head of Delegation. She also noted that for the Benidorm Fest 2025, the voting process will be divided equally between a jury and a televote, with the televote comprising 50% app votes and 50% SMS votes.
