Måns Zelmerlöw: My Melodifestivalen song “Revolution” is better than “Heroes”

Posted on 2 December 2024 By Admin No Comments on Måns Zelmerlöw: My Melodifestivalen song “Revolution” is better than “Heroes”

He won Melodifestivalen 2015 with the song “Heroes”…and then went on to win Eurovision a few months later. And now, ahead of his return to Sweden’s selection show, Måns Zelmerlöw says his next entry is even better than his last.

Speaking to our Tobias at the Melodifestivalen 2025 artist reveal last week, Måns showed a confidence and vigour befitting a Melfest king.

“I think think it’s a better song than ‘Heroes,’” he said. “It’s very direct, it’s very anthemic, big, uptempo.”

He added that his three-year-old son insists on listening to it every night, suggesting it might do well with the youngest of voters.

You’ll have to wait until Heat 4 in Malmö on February 22 to hear the song in full. But Monsieur Zelmerlöw gave us a bit of a thematic tease.

Asked what emoji best describes the song, he went for the strong arm bicep.

“It is about fighting — fighting for our world. That everyone can contribute and every little helps to make this world a better place.”

Returning to Melodifestivalen as a Eurovision winner and then winning the contest again is not a given. Even Loreen — the only woman to win Eurovision twice — failed to win Mello on her return in 2017. See also Charlotte Perrelli and Elisabeth Andreassen, among others.

So what do you think? Could our man do it again? Let us know down below.
