Manchester Pride: Loreen, Katy B and Jessie J confirmed for 2024 lineup

Posted on 13 June 2024 By Admin No Comments on Manchester Pride: Loreen, Katy B and Jessie J confirmed for 2024 lineup

Save the date! August bank holiday weekend (23-26 August) is one to mark down in your diary for a trip to Manchester. Manchester Pride will include four days of entertainment featuring a host of pop favourites, emerging artists, drag royalty and well known performers spanning a whole range of genres.

The Manchester Pride Parade should be your first stop. Tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies will gather to march through the city for global equality, recognition and anti-discrimination. If there is ever an opportunity to celebrate our identity and visibility, this is the one to grab.

Leading the entertainment bill this year is the iconic double Eurovision winner Loreen. With a stellar catalogue of hits featuring “71’Charger“, “My Heart Is Refusing Me“, “Paperlight” and winning entries “Euphoria” and “Tattoo“, Loreen’s mesmerising voice and visual artistry have captivated live audiences since bursting on the music scene through Swedish Idol in 2004.

Manchester Pride 2024’s star studded lineup

Jessie J is a household name and TV music judge with multiple Grammy nominations and Brit Award wins under her belt. She has racked up over a billion streams, several platinum certifications, and has sold over 23 million records to date. Even in China, she’s a superstar! In 2018, Jessie J won the Hunan TV singing competition show Singer, becoming the only non-Chinese contestant to win the series.

Katie B is a UK music chart favourite. Her album On a Mission was both a commercial and critical success. The title track and Ms Dynamite-assisted “Lights On” reached the top five of the UK charts, earning nominations for both the Ivor Novello and Mercury Music Prize. Three years later, she peaked at number one with her album Little Red.

But there’s more! Angie Brown, Rozalla, Natasha Hamilton (Atomic Kitten), Claire Richards (Steps) are all set to perform throughout the weekend.

Manchester Pride is a big event with a community spirit that champions representation and LGBTQ+ visibility. The Festival is a ‘party as protest’ celebrating queer people, culture and expression as loudly and publicly as possible in a refusal to hide in shame. As one of the leading LGBTQ+ charities in the UK, the organisation aims to fight against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. Their annual grants support and empower LGBTQ+ community groups of all ages and size.
