Six acts were battling it out on Eurosong 2024 – Ireland’s selection for Eurovision in Malmö. The choice was made on long-time running talk show The Late Late Show. At the end of the night, Bambie Thug was declared victorious with “Doomsday Blue” and will fly the Irish flag in Sweden.
This year’s Eurosong showed a wide variety of songs and a new generation of Irish voices made it to the Irish selection show. After a day-by-day song reveal on RTÉ Radio 1’s The Ray D’Arcy Show, the public and jury had to choose between Ailsha, Bambie Thug, Erica-Cody, Isabelle Kearney, JyellowL and Next in Line.
You could watch Eurosong 2024 on RTÉ One and on RTÉ Player worldwide. All the action kicked off at 21:35 GMT (22:35 CET).

Results
Similarly to previous editions of the selection, the Irish entrant for Eurovision 2024 was determined by a combination of votes from: a national jury, an international jury, and the public.
Our very own Deban Aderemi was the chairperson of the four-person international jury. They did not vote based on the live performance the public saw. Instead, they voted earlier based on dress rehearsal footage. We should point out that while Deban announced the points for the international jury, his individual rankings did not necessarily align with the final tally from the jury.
The four-piece national jury consisted of a panel headed by Tracy Clifford, a presenter on RTÉ 2fm – the country’s most popular pop music radio station. The international jury consisted of four experts from a wide range of countries.
The national jury, international jury, and public vote each counted for a third of the the total score.
