Westlife – “Chariot”

Nicky Byrne represented Ireland in 2016. Even if he competed alone, he is best known as a member of the band Westlife, who this week released a new song to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The track perfectly revives the band’s signature style, both nostalgic and uplifting. The lyrics say: “So call my friends tell them cancel your plans / Come round we’re having a few / Bring all the family dad, mum, grandpa too / Dance with my girl, spin around the air / And find a corner with her / Kisses between the words it was always you / Swing me high and swing me low / Until my chariot takes me home.”

The song carries a celebratory vibe, perfectly fitting for the joyful occasion of their anniversary. Alongside the release, the band announced an anniversary tour and a new album titled 25 – The Ultimate Collection, set to be released on 13 February 2026.

Zoë competed in Eurovision this year for Switzerland. Her song is magical and mystical. “Clair de Lune” (Moonlight) — sung in German — is the alt-pop track you’ve been waiting for. The song speaks to a generation and its struggles, making you pause and ask yourself, “How is this life actually going?” Among all her releases so far, this one is her favourite, as it holds a very special meaning for her.

Zoë said in a video about the song:

“The glass is half full, and i drink it all. The world is beautiful – when it’s not hurting. The world is beautiful and yet, i have a tendency to paint it in shades of grey, duller than it truly is. I belong to a generation I like to call generation greenstick fracture. We’re never really thriving, but not quite broken either. Stuck somewhere in between. We carry big thoughts….”

Ronela Hajati, Mc Kresha & Lyrical Son – “Pershesh”

Ronela represented Albania in 2022. This week, she teams up with MC Kresha and Lyrical Son for a fiery new release. The song, titled “Persian,” carries an addictive vibe, blending Ronela’s powerful vocals with sharp rap verses. The music video turns up the heat even more, giving a glimpse of what’s cooking in the kitchen, and Ronela takes serving to a whole new level.

Ben Cristovao & Asster – “ALE”

Under the stage name Benny Cristo, Ben was selected to represent Czechia in 2020, when the contest was cancelled, and returned the following year in 2021. This week, he released a new track with Asster, a collaboration that feels like two friends simply getting together to make music, and that’s what makes it so special. The song blends hip-hop elements with the energy of a football anthem, featuring a catchy, chant-like chorus that’s easy to sing along to.

The track is part of the Def Jam World Tour, a global project by the label that takes artists on trips to various locations around the world. At each stop, Def Jam invites a few artists from Poland to collaborate with local producers and rappers, sparking unexpected creative partnerships. You can follow their journey on the label’s social media.

Can Bonomo – “Sar”

Can Bonomo represented Türkiye in Eurovision 2012. His newest release perfectly captures the essence of Turkish music: powerful, emotional, and deeply rooted in cultural heritage. With his unmistakable voice and signature intensity, the song stands out as a unique addition to any playlist, blending alternative rock with rich folk influences.

Barbara Pravi – “Où es-tu ?”

Barbara made France proud in 2021. Her newest song, “Where Are You?”, speaks about always searching for the one you love, the one who is right for your heart: “Where are you / Wherever you are / I’ll go get you.” The track was born almost a year ago, and Barbara experimented with different versions before settling on this final one. According to her, the song represents a transition, “out of grief and transformed into a romantic encounter.”

Barbara said about her new song:

“I found several voice memos from when I was writing it. It’s funny to realise where the idea comes from, and to see what it becomes. I turned the chorus over dozens of times. I wanted a simple and clear text for a story that would speak of love, also of grief. In reality, it’s a very intimate text.”

Blue Stripes feat. TALI – “Come on”

TALI represented Luxembourg last year. Recently, she has had several collaborations with Blue Stripes, and this week is no exception. Get ready for something jazzy, fun, and impressively powerful, with a touch of retro. The song is an open invitation for everyone to celebrate and enjoy the moment, featuring impressive vocals, a great groove, and a melody that will make you dance instantly. This one is pure addiction.

Gromee & Stephen Puth – “SOS”

Gromee, the DJ who represented Poland in 2018 alongside Lukas Meijer, returns this week with a new track in collaboration with American singer Stephen Puth, brother of the well-known artist Charlie Puth. The song is poised for radio success, an electronic pop banger guaranteed to get the party started. While you might notice some similarities between Stephen and Charlie’s musical styles, Gromee has crafted the perfect sound to match Stephen’s energy, resulting in a track that’s a must-play at any celebration.

ILINCA – “Cânta lăutare”

The next stop is Romania, where we have Ilinca. She represented her country back in 2017 together with Alex Florea. The word lăutar, in the past, referred to musicians who played the lăută (lute), but nowadays it applies to musicians who play a variety of instruments, especially at parties and special events, performing songs rooted in tradition. Ilinca’s newest song is inspired by the folk Romani style, a genre she has mastered in her recent releases. Get the Balkan party started!

Ilinca added:

“I wrote this song in the shower (oh well, that’s where I felt inspired), thinking about a party you never want to end, about a talented musician you pull for one more song and one more song, to soothe your soul.”

Marius Bear – “Horizon”

Marius represented Switzerland in 2022. His newest song is a sombre ballad you need for this current season. It speaks about people who haunt you long after they are gone, with a dark, slightly spooky sound. Yet, it’s filled with emotion, brought to life by Marius’ warm voice. This autumn, Marius is embarking on his final tour across Switzerland before moving to Australia for the next chapter of his musical journey.

Tim Schou – Long Way Home

Tim, now releasing music as a solo artist, was part of A Friend In London, the band that represented Denmark in 2011. After releasing several singles, he is finally here with an EP, Long Way Home, containing five tracks.

The first track, “Giants,” begins almost a cappella, putting full focus on the vocals and lyrics. It speaks about feeling small but finding the strength to stand on your own and share your art from the heart with others. The EP also features heart-warming songs like “Proud.” Some tracks are dedicated to your inner child, while others connect you with your home and family, such as “To My Parents” and the title track “Long Way Home.” “Demons,” which addresses overcoming personal struggles, tackles a serious topic but still shines as a true pop hit.

Maria Haukaas Mittet – “Havet, Maria”

And we end this week’s round-up with Maria, who competed for Norway back in 2008. This is your perfect fall track, as cozy as a bright autumn sunset. The song is relaxing, soul-warming, and Maria’s voice naturally brings a sense of peace. She described her song by saying:

“Fall mood? Melancholy is, at least, in my new single! It’s out and floating on the big web and can be caught and listened to, if you want.”
