Summer is the quiet period for Eurovision fans as we wait for the new season to commence. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 27 part 2
With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 1 here.
Miriana Conte – “GĦAJJEJT (i8)”
Miriana Conte ate and left no crumbs at Eurovision 2025. And now, the Maltese star is feasting on another dance pop track. Much like her entry in Basel, Miriana is utilising the similarity in sound of certain Maltese and English phrases. “GĦAJJEJT” literally translates to “I’m tired,” but is pronounced as “I ate.”
Lyrically, Miriana notes that no one can keep this beauty blender down. There’s also a message at the end for those who would try to silence her: “And now that I’m no longer censored / Remember / I serve kant, kant, kant, kant, kant.”
Katarsis – “Kas man be jūros”
“What am I without the sea?,” ask Katarsis in their new song. Lithuania’s most recent Eurovision act deliver a moody alternative rock offering. Vocalist Lukas contemplates the strength and power that the ocean possess: “The storm is coming / I’m about to fall / I’ll let its gusts destroy me / Its wind pushes deep into my chest / After it, the sea will remain / And I’ll be with it.”
Joost – “All Inclusive Türkiye”
Many people have enjoyed an all inclusive holiday in Türkiye. One would think that this was the inspiration behind Joost’s latest song based on the title. However, the short one-minute piece doesn’t actually mention the home of Sertab Erener at all. Instead, the Eurovision 2024 alum discusses his Dutch heritage: “I’m so international, mainstage on the festival / I’m very very Dutch, Martin Garrix, ‘Animals’, yes! / I’m so Dutch, hey, just like Afrojack.”
Sakis Rouvas, Fy & Beyond – “Kounia Bella”
Sakis Rouvas is hoping to heat up the summer with his new single “Kounia Bella” (“Bella Swing”). The two-time Eurovision star has joined forces with rapper Fy for the song, which was produced by Beyond.
In the lyrics, the Greek artists discuss a woman who has got them sweating: “Every night on my body she swings Bella / Because she’s Bella, because she’s trouble / Every night she lifts me up / She always wants to have all the lights on / Because she’s Bella, because she’s trouble / Nothing else matters to her.”
Guy Sebastian – “Get It Done”
“Goin’ grit my teeth and battle on / Roll my sleeves until it’s won / I’m gonna get it done.”
Australia’s Eurovision 2015 star is powering through any difficulties that come his way and ensuring that he completes the task at hand. Guy Sebastian delivers a gritty mix of soul and rock for this latest single. A note underneath the accompanying video describes the track as follows:
“In ‘Get It Done,’ Guy Sebastian delivers a powerful, soul-driven anthem about finding the fire within to face the things in life that feel almost too difficult to confront. Set against a backdrop of soulful guitars, keys, and producer Lucian Nagy’s thunderous drums, Guy’s lead vocals cut through with both power and heart. The message is clear: even when you’re facing the biggest mismatch, it’s not time to sit back — it’s time to knuckle down and get on with it. ‘Get It Done’ is a gritty, honest battle cry for courage, resilience, and owning the tough moments that shape who we are.”
Jeangu Macrooy – “Independent Girls & Nasty Evil Gays”
Jeangu Macrooy is parodying the misogynists and homophobes in his latest single. The Dutch representative from 2021 performs most of the song as if he is giving these people a news infomercial, showing just how stupid they actually sound.
In the bridge, he’s joined by a chorus of fellow activists to call out their hate speech: “Call us weak / You wouldn’t last a minute in these heels / Flex your muscles, hide your tears / You call that masculinity? / Open up, we’ll set you free / Or just f*ck off and let us be.”
Writing more about the song on social media, Jeangu states:
“The world is growing increasingly hostile towards queer people and independent women. A few months ago, I felt the urge to write something to push back against how absurd and exhausting queerphobia and misogyny really are. Sometimes, all the hate in the world can feel paralyzing. But then I remember: in the face of hate, we must refuse to shrink. Now is the time to be louder, prouder, and braver than ever. Let’s take up space. Let’s make noise. Let’s be too much. This one’s for my Independent Girls & Nasty Evil Gays.”
KALUSH & Balsam – “Вітер”
There are few constants in life: taxes and KALUSH’s long-running collaboration series. This time, the Eurovision 2022 champion has teamed up with Balsam for the song “Вітер” (“Wind”). It’s a mid-tempo rap offering with a melancholic feel. Explaining the meaning of the lyrics, the Ukrainian artist noted:
“‘Вітер’ is a song about movement, doubt, the power of faith and self-acceptance. When life throws us, we continue to build our own worlds, even if everything around us turns into a circle. This is the soundtrack of those who do not betray themselves, who fall – but rise again.”
Rosa López – 12 Diamantes Negros
Rosa López has been steadily releasing 12 Diamantes Negros (12 Black Diamonds) over the last year and a half. Now, this collection of jewels is complete and the full LP has been launched. In addition to all the songs that fans will already know, the album comes with one brand new track — “Sin Fin” (“Endless”).
Natasha St-Pier – “Le sud”
Natasha St-Pier hails from New Brunswick, in the southeast of Canada. The Eurovision 2001 alumna has many pleasant memories of the long summer days she used to spend here, and this is something she’s decided to capture in her rendition of “Le sud” (“The south”): “It looks like the south / Time is longer / And life for sure / More than a millions years / And it’s always summer.”
The singer wrote more about the latest song from her upcoming album on Instagram:
“Beresford beach or my backyard in New Brunswick.. this is where I spent all my vacations as a child. It’s still where I like to recharge today. So covering Nino Ferrer’s ‘Le Sud’ was an obvious, a nod to my roots, the warmth, the light of a place so dear to me.”
Lord Of The Lost & Tina Guo – “Ghosts”
One month to go until the new album from Eurovision 2023 act Lord Of The Lost. The German band’s latest pre-release single is “Ghosts,” a haunting gothic metal track. This eerie atmosphere is created in part thanks to the cello accompaniment of Tina Guo.
Vocalist Chris Harms mixes singing and screamo lines in the lyrics of the chorus: “I haunt you in your dreams / You know I’m gonna follow / There’s only you and me / You know I’m gonna find you / And face your heart.”
Patrick Fiori, Il Cello & Joseph Pastinelli – “Terra d’amore”
Corsu – Mezu Mezu is a project that aims to highlight Corsican music. It’s now in its third iteration, with a new album set for release in September. The first track from this is “Terra d’amore” (“Land of love”), a rousing anthem with orchestral accompaniment.
Patrick Fiori, France’s Eurovision 1993 singer, spearheads the project. For this particular song, he’s joined by Il Cello and Joseph Pastinelli.
Megara – “13 Razones”
You might think that motherhood would mellow a rocker-chick’s heart. But think again.
Lead singer of Megara, Kenzy Loevett, recently became a mother to son Cairo. The band’s new single is dedicated to the little one, with Kenzy writing the lyrics herself before he was born. “13 Razones” (“13 Reasons”) still has the Eurovision 2024 act’s rock spirit with plenty of guitars and drums running throughout.
Citi Zēni – “Galvenais (Nevīst un viss)”
“The main thing is not to wither and that’s it / The rest will come by itself – it’s like putting it in a bank.”
Citi Zēni always want to live life to the max. So if that means holding on to a childlike energy rather than becoming an adult, then so be it. Latvia’s Eurovision 2022 group bring an upbeat bop to match this with “Galvenais (Nevīst un viss)” [“Main (Don’t wither and that’s it)”]. Speaking more about the track, lead singer Jānis Pētersons notes:
“There will always be time for growing up, but there is only so much time left for mischief. We are enjoying summer to the fullest and are not afraid of the consequences. That’s what the song is about.”
Sanja Vučić – Trilogy
Sanja Vučić has a Trilogy of new songs for us. Serbia’s two-time Eurovision star has given the three tracks have a strong Balkan feel and they all come with electric guitar backing, providing the short EP with a rock element.
“Raspadam se” sees Vučić falling apart, and she reveals her “100 problema” in the second tune. It concludes with her standing strong like “Granit” in the closing ballad.
Sofi Marinova & DJ Damyan – “Капучина”
Italian brain rot meets Bulgarian turbo folk. Eurovision 2012 singer Sofi Marinova has joined forces with DJ Damyan for “Капучина” (“Cappuccino”). The song’s inspiration comes from the viral TikTok character Ballerina Cappuccina.
In the lyrics, the two artists discuss how they’re going to win someone over: “You’ll be mine in the end, I’ll play you / I’ll burn myself again, check-check-check / You’re my ballerina / Ballerina Cappuccina.”
