Summer is the quiet period for Eurovision fans as we wait for the new season to commence. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 27 part 1
With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 2 here.
KAJ – “Mosquito”
We start off this song with a funny entertaining song from the Finnish humour group KAJ who represented Sweden in this year’s Eurovision, winning over the hearts of the Eurovision fans. Their entertainment and energetic style that we all loved in Eurovision is back in this release too, and obviously there is their particular funny twist. The song’s theme is a general summer issue that unites all of us together: mosquitoes. The lyrics funny describe how mosquitoes simply ruin the summer days. They refer to the mosquitoes as: “Mo-mo-mosquito / El bandito / El terroristo / El Diablo” (Mosquito / The bandit / The terrorist / The devil), describing the fast mosquitoes attack as: “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Or the Egyptian plague?” The song is fun, a song that finally expresses all the frustrations of a never-ending fight with the unpopular insects. KAJ declared that the side effects of their song are: humming, itching, and the sudden realization that you kinda love a song about mosquitoes.
Zoë Më – “Million de Mois”
The next song delivers elegance and sensibility in the best possible way. Zoë represented Switzerland in this year’s Eurovision. She is back with a new enchanting tune where her soft voice, the violins from the instrumental, and the serenity of her visualizer go hand in hand creating a magical effect. The lyrics say: “I laid my love in your garden / I planted some flowers this morning / Deep down I know / It’s too cold for this gesture / But I thought of you.” If her Eurovision song was about watering flowers, a metaphor for showing care for the ones we love, her newest song is about planting flowers for people we miss.
About the song, Zoë said:
(…) It’s a song about missing someone so much, your world breaks into two. A song about beginning the quiet work of mending stitching yourself back together. A song about promising your friend that you’ll keep him with you forever, for a million months.
Lawstylez, WhiteCapMusic & Westerlund feat. EMMY – “Neverending Story”
Among this year’s participants who released songs this week, we also have Emmy, the sweet Norwegian star who represented Ireland. She has a collaboration with Lawstylez, WhiteCapMusic, and Westerlund in an EDM track where her voice fits perfectly. If you like techno and electronic music, this is the pick for you. Energetic and with a lasting impression, the song will make you hit the replay button. The song is a cover of the famous track released by Limahl in 1984 for the movie with the same name. The song is an encouragement to dream and reach the stars.
Eleni Foureira, Ria Ellinidou & Display – “Anapse To Tsigaro”
Eleni is the Eurovision legend who represented Cyprus in 2018. She is ready to bring you a perfect summer hit in collaboration with Ria Ellinidou and Displays. The song brings a bit of everything—pop music mixed with laïko—for a truly authentic effect and a perfect summer anthem for you. The song is called “Light the Cigarette” and it was performed live at Mad VMA 2025.
Loreen – “Echoes”
Loreen is the double Eurovision winner who brought the trophy to Sweden first in 2012 and then again in 2023. This week, she continues delivering quality pop music with a brand-new song that maintains her signature style while speaking about people who reflect each other and echo. It’s a perfect radio track about those special connections with the special ones.
TEYA – “Talk That Talk”
Teya represented Austria together with Salena in 2023. She is also one of the people behind this year’s Eurovision winning song, JJ’s “Wasted Love.” Her newest pop release is here to shut up the haters and affirm that she’s talking that talk and walking that walk—no matter what others say—because she’s in love with the unapologetic way she lives life. The song comes with a lyric video, and through the lyrics, she declares that she’s not staying small anymore: “I got big thighs and a big voice too / I’mma show them what a mouth can do / Yeah I write down what I call the truth / While you listen to a woman with a wisdom tooth / I got big plans and even bigger daydreams / They say that I’d get sick of waiting / But baby I’m not in a playpen / I’m a big girl yeah I pay rent.”
Kate Ryan – “Casser La Voix”
Kate represented Belgium in 2006. Her newest song, called “Break the Voice”, is all about speaking your heart out. Get ready for an electronic dance track that will get you moving—a reimagination of a French classic originally released by Patrick Bruel in 1989. We also have a music video that takes you with Kate backstage and on stage, allowing you to feel the energy of her song even more. She wanted to take Patrick’s song in a darker, more hypnotic direction—and she succeeded—while still leaving a trace of the vulnerability that the original version presents.
Sergej Ćetković feat. Milan Balinovic – “Nisu mi dali da te volim”
Sergej represented Montenegro in 2014. This week, he collaborates with Milan Balinović to release “They Didn’t Let Me Love You.” The result is a ballad with many traditional elements, especially thanks to the various traditional instruments used in the creation of the song. The music video offers a glimpse into the studio. The lyrics speak about the challenges that love can bring sometimes.
Sasha Song feat. Golcinni – “Muzika Negroja”
Sasha represented Lithuania in 2009. This week, he collaborates with Golcinni. The new song is a banger—a perfectly addictive mix of pop music, traditional elements, and electronic sounds, creating a true club anthem. Even though he’s not a fan of heights, the music video was filmed on the edge of the TV tower in Vilnius.
Aiko – “I Need A Minute”
Aiko made Czechia proud in last year’s Eurovision. Her newest release is a perfect electropop alternative track that brings back the Brat summer vibe. The song speaks to those moments when your battery is simply low—and how everyone needs a minute from time to time to recharge their social energy. It carries that particular dark, mysterious vibe we love so much in Aiko’s music.
About the song, Aiko said:
I wrote a song about being an easily overwhelmed and oversocialised hermit and I think you’ll relate.
Jacques Houdek – “Sretni ljudi ne pišu pjesme”
Melodije Jadrana is a Croatian music festival that takes place in Split. A number of Croatian Eurovision alumni took part this year, showcasing their new songs.
One of those was Jaques Houdek, who represented Croatia in 2017. His newest song is called “Happy People Don’t Write Songs.” The track is acoustic and serene in sound, with lyrics that reflect how depth often comes from pain and life experiences. The lyrics say: “Don’t be afraid of tears, let your voice tremble / Love breaks even the strong ones, we cannot be strong now / Bitter water pours from that fountain / Happy people don’t write songs.”
Nina Badrić – “Alive”
Nina, who represented Croatia in 2012, appeared twice at Melodije Jadrana — initially to provide a full set of almost 20 songs, and then on the second night to share her new song “Alive.” It’s a modern pop track about a modern woman who is feeling alive—and there’s nothing she isn’t able to do. The music video is a homage to Christopher Walken’s performance in the music video for “Weapon of Choice” by Fatboy Slim. Modern and addictive this song is a must in your playlist. The chorus says out loud: “It’s not the end/ I’m alive.”
Goran Karan & Klapa Kaše – “Bonaca se vitra uželila”
Goran Karan competed for Croatia back in 2000. For his festival entry, he collaborated with a music group from the Dubrovnik region, Klapa Kaše. The song is called “The calm longed for the wind,” a track that feels like a folk fairy tale, bringing traditional music back to the spotlight in the best possible way. The lyrics speak about a love that doesn’t disappear even after a separation. It’s a song about wanting and longing for your dear one to come back where they belong.
Doris Dragović – “Kad zastor mi padne”
Doris Dragović was also in attendance at Melodije Jadrana. She performed “Kad zastor mi padne” (“When the curtain falls on me”). The two-time Eurovision entrant delivers a nostalgic ballad. They lyrics see Dragović hoping for the safe return of a loved one: “And I wish / That you would at least come to me, finally, home / So that the sea would warm up from the land.”
Eurovision 2020 entrant Damir Kedžo also performed at the festival. But he has yet to officially release his song “Daljine” (“Distances”).
Andrius Pojavis – “Laimingai Ir Ilgai”
Andrius represented Lithuania in 2013. His newest song is called “Happily Ever After.” The song has a one-of-a-kind energetic vibe with rap parts. Get ready for your dose of hip hop, perfectly infused with vibrant summer energy.
Besa – “Ring my bell”
Besa represented Albania last year. She is ready to take the crown of pop queen with her newest confidence booster about being absolutely gorgeous and savage. It’s your new party anthem for those days when you feel “savage (…) and really naughty.” She will mind-blow you with her rap. The song is meant to be an international release—sexy and cool, a legit banger.
Kastaway feat. Stig Van Eijk – “Open Sky”
We end this part with Stig, who represented Norway in 1999. This week, he collaborated with Kastaway. The song features on Kastaway’s new album and is an energetic track with various musical influences while keeping a cool hip hop vibe. It’s a tune about love, hate, mistakes, and how in the end, there’s an open sky filled with possibilities.
