Latvia’s Tautumeitas bring their harmonies to the London Eurovision Party 2025

Posted on 29 March 2025 By Admin No Comments on Latvia’s Tautumeitas bring their harmonies to the London Eurovision Party 2025

Get your girls, and get your glass crowns. It’s time to celebrate that Latvia’s Tautumeitas will come to the London Eurovision Party 2025! The Baltic group will bring their gorgeous anthem “Bur Man Laimi” to the London stage on April 13th. Tautumeitas are known for their harmonies and enchanting performances, so we have something very special coming up.

Don’t forget you can still get your London Eurovision Party 2025 tickets here. Tickets are selling fast so make sure to grab them before they’re all gone. You can see many fan favourites from this year with Finland’s Erika Vikman, Austria’s JJ, and Malta’s Miriana Conte.announced among many other stars! You’ll also see awesome guest performers from previous years light up the room, it’s going to be a special night!

Who are Tautumeitas?

Tautumeitas are a 6-piece band of fabulous women from Latvia, who describe their genre as “ethno-trance”. The group formed in 2017 initially, by releasing a folk album with fellow Latvian band Auļi. They are named after a “tautumeita”, a female in Latvian folk clothes, with great traditional meaning. The term is defined by cultural pride and beauty.

Tautumetias were confirmed as a participant of Latvian national final Supernova 2025 in November 2024. When snippets were released, their entry “Bur Man Laimi” was an immediate standout, giving us ethnic folk with harmonies and modern elements to make it unique. With nothing else like it in the competition, it was looking good for the group. Semi-finals happened and their stunning staging was revealed. A curtain to represent rain, with the group wearing glass crowns to look like water was a stunning visual. The performance was utterly unforgettable, and looked expensive! Three minutes of pure class, and the women were through to the final.

On the 8th of February, Tautumeitas triumphed in the selection, coming 3rd with the jury (who favoured more typical poppy tones from past Latvian representatives Citi Zēni), and smashed the televote with 61,028 votes, giving them enough points to win. Whilst in the 12-1 points system from televote and jury, they were actually in a 3-way tie, but as their televote was higher than the other two in the equation, they’re off to Basel!

We’re so excited to welcome to Tautumeitas to the London Eurovision Party for some soulful ethnic tones. They will enrich the evening with the vocals and harmonies, we can’t wait to be awed!

What is the London Eurovision Party 2025?

The London Eurovision Party is the biggest annual Eurovision event in the United Kingdom. It is also one of the biggest and most classic shows on the Eurovision pre-party tour. It’s been going from strength to strength over the years, and this year it celebrates it’s Sweet Sixteen edition in style at Here at Outernet in the UK capital, on April 13th.

Here at Outernet is a large concert venue right in the beating heart of London. It is known for it’s artistic styling and modern spaces. The London Eurovision Party will provide an excellent chance for a British audience to see their favourite acts before the contest itself. We STILL have more announcements to come, so keep your eyes peeled!
