Music that inspires beauty plays an important role in the Ukrainian music scene. This is the premiere of the song “Love Yourself,” which will be released on March 25 by Marichka Bodnar, the author of the most sincere project in the Ukrainian music space, SVOYA music.
“The single ‘Love Yourself’ is the first track from the new album we are currently working on,” says Marichka Bodnar, ‘The album ’You Are Charming’ will be dedicated to spring and women. “The idea of creating music to inspire and remind women of their special value has been in me since before the war. But with the outbreak of hostilities, I had to put this idea on hold for later… And now this ‘later’ has come!”
The track “Love Yourself” is also special because the author of the lyrics is a talented young poet Lina Protsyk.
“Love for others begins with love for oneself,” the poet comments. – “This is what I wanted to convey in the poem. It is very difficult to love yourself, not everyone succeeds, and sometimes you need to go a long way to this love. After all, every person is unique, special, inimitable!”
“With this song I want to remind each of my listeners how important it is to love yourself, accept and forgive yourself! Live and enjoy life, because you are the only one!!!”
The song is performed in the interesting genre of bass. The arrangement and mastering of the track was created by the talented Sergey Svirsky.
It will be recalled that the SVOYA music project was founded by Marichka Bodnar in August 2020, which presented its first studio album “Prayer of the Unconquered” in February 2023.
In March 2023, the band won the She.pisnia 2023 All-Ukrainian competition in the “Bands” nomination. In 2024, the band’s soloist became a laureate of the Kvitka Tsysyk International Competition.
The SVOYA music team keeps the cultural front with dignity – they volunteer a lot, perform charity concerts for the military and beyond, support and inspire Ukrainians with music.
