Rapper BURLA and singer SAMCHUK teamed up for the first time to create a joint track “Braids” – a song that combines their unique styles and charisma. Both artists have come from self-made backgrounds, having achieved success through their own hard work and talent. BURLA gained popularity for his patriotic hits, which have garnered over 70 million views on YouTube, while SAMCHUK rapidly broke into show business, holding his first sold-out concerts in Kyiv and collecting tens of millions of listens thanks to his hits “Madam”, “Sad Romance”, “I’ll Pick You Up”, “What a Chic Lady”. His collaboration with Domiy on the song “About Autumn” also went viral, reaching about 10 million plays.
Today, BURLA and SAMCHUK present a new duet track “Braids” – a song about emotions that overwhelm you, about the moment when everything changes at a glance.
The song was born spontaneously, but organically:
“We had been planning to do a collaboration for a long time, but we wanted it to be really cool. One day we met for coffee, showed each other our demos, and Andriy (SAMCHUK) immediately liked the motif. That night we wrote the whole song, and the next day we recorded it. It was a moment of inspiration, when it immediately became clear that this is exactly the kind of trick that will catch people,” says BURLA.
“This is the case when everything happened easily and naturally. It was just music, just a vibe that just clicked,” adds SAMCHUK.
