Francesco Gabbani, Irama and Coma_Cose amongst top 5 from Night 2 of Festival di Sanremo 2025

Posted on 13 February 2025 By Admin No Comments on Francesco Gabbani, Irama and Coma_Cose amongst top 5 from Night 2 of Festival di Sanremo 2025

The third night of Festival di Sanremo just ended, and after seeing the rest of 14 out of 29 artists perform tonight, we have a new top five. The ranking is the result of a split vote: 50% televote and 50% radio jury.

Festival di Sanremo took place in the city of Sanremo at Teatro Ariston, just like in previous years. The 15 contestants performed alongside the festival’s orchestra.

In the “New Proposals” category, emerging artists Alex Wyse and Settembre competed. Settembre won both the “New Proposal” award and the Critics’ Award with his song, “Vertebre.”

A surprise of the night was Victoria from Måneskin (winners of Eurovision 2021), who returned to perform in Sanremo as a bassist for a special performance with the iconic band Duran Duran.

The show was hosted by Carlo Conti and co-hosted by  Miriam Leone, Elettra Lamborghini, and Katia Follesa. Tonight’s vote was split equally between the televote and the radio jury.

Festivali di Sanremo 2025: Night 3

Top 5

This night, once again, the voting started from the very first performance, with additional time allowed for voting after the last performance. A provisional ranking is created after each night, but this year, the full chart will not be made public. Instead, the audience will only know which artists made it into the top five, but in a completely random order.

The rankings from the first three nights are crucial for the contestants, as they will contribute to the final result in the Grand Final.

After the third night, the artists who made it into the top five are:

  • Coma_Cose – “Cuoricini”
  • Brunori Sas – “L’albero delle noci”
  • Irama – “Lentamente”
  • Olly – “Balorda nostalgia”
  • Francesco Gabbani – “Viva la vita”

In the top five, we have Brunori Sas, just as on the first night, with a wonderful ballad about childhood, family, and the passage of time. He seems to be one of the festival’s favorites.

Tonight also brings Francesco Gabbani into the top. He represented Italy in Eurovision in 2017, and this year at Sanremo, he delivers an anthem celebrating life as it is, with its ups and downs, highlighting the importance of living in the moment.

Irama has competed multiple times in Sanremo, coming close to winning in the past. This year, he presents a heartbreaking song about love slowly fading.

Olly received a standing ovation for his performance tonight. His song reflects on looking back at one’s life with both joy and regret, a sentiment that deeply resonated with the audience.

Last but not least, Coma_Cose got everyone dancing, while the entire audience sent them cuoricini (little hearts) with their hands. Their sweet song strikes a balance between love and distance, emphasizing the significance of small gestures of affection in a relationship.

Night 3 running order

  1. Clara – “Febbre”
  2. Brunori Sas – “L’albero delle noci”
  3. Sarah Toscano – “Amarcord”
  4. Massimo Ranieri – “Tra le mani un cuore”
  5. Joan Thiele – “Eco”
  6. Shablo feat. Gue, Joshua e Tormento – “La mia parola”
  7. Noemi – “Se t’innamori muori”
  8. Olly – “Balorda nostalgia”
  9. Coma_Cose – “Cuoricini”
  10. Modà – “Non ti dimentico”
  11. Tony Effe – “Damme ‘na mano:
  12. Irama – “Lentamente”
