EMMY will represent Ireland at Eurovision 2025 with “Laika Party”

Posted on 7 February 2025 By Admin No Comments on EMMY will represent Ireland at Eurovision 2025 with “Laika Party”

Dublin calling! The Emerald Isle had to find a successor to Bambie Thug and the success they had in Malmö last year. Six acts battled it out during RTÉ’s Late Late Show’s Eurosong Special tonight and EMMY emerged on top.

As usual, RTÉ’s flag ship Friday evening talk show featured the acts competing for a spot at Eurovision. A panel of four evaluated each performance. This year, the panel consisted of Bambie Thug, television personality Donal Skehan, radio presenter Laura Fox and dancer Arthur Gourounlian.

The Irish contestant was chosen by a combination of a national vote, an international jury vote and a public vote. Each vote weighed a third of the total score.

You could watch the Late Late Show’s Eurosong Special live on the RTÉ Player at 22:35 CET. The show lasted until 0:45 CET.
