How does FiK 63 voting work in Albania

Posted on 22 December 2024 By Admin No Comments on How does FiK 63 voting work in Albania

There’s been a bit of confusion about how Festivali i Këngës 2025 voting will work. So our Erdi Tejeci — who recently interviewed FiK 63 artistic director Elhaida Dani — reached out to her again to get clarification on how the results will be determined.

How does #FiK63 voting work in Albania?

As you already know, 50% of the voting will be determined by the jury and 50% by the public.

There are seven jurors and each juror will award 12 points, 10 points, 8 points, and then 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1, per Eurovision style. The maximum amount of points that any artist can receive from the jury is 84 points. That would be equivalent to seven sets of 12 points — a clean sweep.

There are a total of 406 points to be awarded by the juries. (58 points per juror).

The public vote is calculated by percentage, with a maximum score of 406 points. So if an artist received 100% of the televote, that would equate to 406 points. If an artist received 50% of the televote, then they would receive 203 points.

The televote itself is comprised of two halves: the domestic televote (Albania and Kosovo), and the diaspora televote from everywhere else. Each of these counts for 50% of the televote score. They will be added together to determine the overall televote score.

That means the overall result is determined by…

  • 50% jury
  • 25% domestic televote
  • 25% diaspora televote
