San Marino at Junior Eurovision 2024: Idols SM with “Come Noi”

After nine years of absence from the contest following their initial three appearances, San Marino has returned once more to Junior Eurovision. This time, the country is fielding four local girls to form the pop group Idols SM, who are ready to bring “Come Noi” to Madrid.

San Marino in Junior Eurovision 2024: Idols SM with “Come Noi”

Asia Ceccoli, Giulia Rinaldi, Giorgia De Scisciolo, and Vera Stefania Olkhovskaya make up Idols SM, a group put together to showcase Sammarinese talent.

In the show Sogna ragazzo sogna, the four girls, aged between 11 and 12, performed two songs in front of a jury — “Poesia” and “Come Noi” — as the intended submissions to participate at Junior Eurovision in Madrid. In the end, the jury selected the latter.

All four girls have prior experience performing. Giulia has trained in classical, modern, and contemporary dance, while Vera Stefania loves hip-hop and K-pop. Giorgia enjoys singing in the outdoors of San Marino, as well as stargazing and astronomy. Meanwhile, Asia is focused on continuing her studies and hopes to become a famous singer.

What do the “Come Noi” lyrics mean?

“Come Noi” translates to English as “Like Us”.

The song is all about getting lost in the music and painting a modern picture of a teenage fantasy. It uses contemporary references such as the K-Pop band Stray Kids, and TikTok Lives.

Composed by former Sammarinese Eurovision representatives Miodio, “Come Noi” alludes to a freedom that can only be described by hovering over a beautiful world and forming unbreakable bonds.
