Chloe DelaRosa is just nine years old, but she is ready to proudly represent her country at Junior Eurovision, bringing with her a wealth of experience. She has participated in numerous music festivals and performed in front of large audiences, showcasing her talent alongside well-known Spanish artists.
One notable artist Chloe has shared the stage with is Remedios Amaya, who represented Spain at Eurovision in 1983.
Unlike many young performers, Chloe’s career doesn’t begin with Junior Eurovision; she has already recorded several singles and is well-known among the young Spanish audience. She has also made appearances on various TV shows. In her free time, Chloe enjoys recording covers and creating TikToks, further connecting with her fans.
What do the “Como La Lola” lyrics mean?
The title of the Spanish entry is “Como La Lola,” which tells the story of a young girl who dreams of becoming a singer like her role model, Lola. The song refers to Lola Flores, a famous Spanish singer, actress, and flamenco dancer. Its message emphasises the importance of working hard for your dreams and believing in yourself, even when others may try to discourage you.
In her song, Chloe conveys her confidence on stage and expresses that she isn’t nervous to perform. She even makes a playful reference to her astrological sign, saying, “I’m like fish in the water when I go on stage / It has to do with planets, I am an Aquarius / Already from the cradle I held the rattle.”
In the pre-chorus, Chloe shares her aspiration to be a “cantista” (singer), mentioning several famous female artists who inspire her, including Taylor Swift, Karol G, Olivia Rodrigo, and Shakira, whom she affectionately refers to as “She Wolf.”
The chorus pays tribute to Lola Flores, describing her as the ultimate role model. Chloe expresses her desire to be like Lola, stating that she wants to follow in the footsteps of “Lola Flores, the greatest and the queen of hearts.”
