The Ukrainian teen queen YALLA has released a music video for her new hit, which has every chance of becoming a soundtrack this fall.
The young star has prepared a video illustrating what millions of girls across the country are going through: “In this video, I showed to the maximum what it’s like when you’re shaking inside. You change from his breath, touch, smile. When you are waiting for his message, for a meeting with him. When that “chemistry” between lovers arises. On the one hand, I showed just myself, on the other hand, I fulfilled the director’s tasks,” the artist said about working on the new video.
The video is a continuation of YALLA’s previous hit “Dura”, which became popular on TikTok, Ukrainian radio and Spotify playlists and continues to grow organically in the charts.
The single “You and Me” became the lead single for the singer’s next EP, The Last Online, which will be released soon. The album will be an extension of the artist’s creative method, which is to sing only about what she has experienced. YALLA expresses her own emotions and experiences in her music and shares them with the audience, which has a joint therapeutic effect.
This work is probably only for girls: “It’s about falling in love and believing in that love. You give it that second chance, you become “medicine for each other” and you constantly think: “I love you as you love me, too, it’s crazy,” says the artist.
Recording the single “You and I” and filming the video for it became the most difficult experience for YALLA in emotional and musical terms, which can be felt immediately. “I’m not going to lie, it was hard to shoot this video. It was necessary to convey all the feelings and sensations that the song describes. I dug deep inside myself and remembered my quarrels, my troubles and all the bad things that happened with my ex…” the star shared.
YALLA emphasizes that this video story is not only about pain and negativity. It’s about what relationships have given us and continue to give us, even those that didn’t develop according to the best scenario. The heroine of the video, just like the artist herself in real life, strives to remember only the good things and carry love in her heart, even if it is over.
“I want to dedicate this work to all the lovers who believe in this bright feeling no matter what. I want to show that love can be at any age. Because love does not need age. I want couples in love to say to each other, “I love you too, and it’s crazy,” YALLA said.
