There’s no need to read between the lines when it comes to one of Katy Perry‘s outfits at Paris Fashion Week. Because it’s written all over her latest gown.
The 39-year-old pop star turned heads on Tuesday arriving at The Ritz Hotel for the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024/25 show for Parsi Fashion Week. For starters, Perry arrived in a black stretch limo and wowed the crowd as she hopped out. But then came the real show — a 100-yard train on her elegant Balenciaga gown featuring the lyrics to her upcoming new single, “Woman’s World.”
As she walked up the steps of The Ritz Hotel, Perry’s train dragged along the blue carpet with every word from her new song emblazoned in white lettering. It was quite the tease, the first of which came on June 17 when she posted a TikTok video announcing that the new single drops July 11. The video included a preview of the new single, which she filmed while on the set of the track’s music video, which drops the next day.
“Woman’s World” will be the new single from Perry’s forthcoming seventh studio album, which will mark her first album since 2020’s Smile. Perry also unveiled the single’s bold cover art, which was shot by acclaimed British photographer Jack Bridgland.
Since May, fans have been salivating at the idea of an upcoming Perry project, after she rebranded her social media channels and her own website with futuristic “KP” initials glossed in chrome over an orange background.
By the way, it’s not the first time Perry’s turned heads with her wardrobe at Paris Fashion Week. Over the weekend, Perry did exactly that when she left little to the imagination while walking the runway at Vogue World: Paris on Sunday.
In a surprise appearance, Perry stunned in a Noir Kei Ninomiya gown. She bared nearly all in the geometric cut-out dress, adorned with a plethora of peach-colored floral embellishments, as she made her way down the runway at the Place Vendome.
