Brighton Pride: Girls Aloud, Mika and S Club are all set to slay!

Posted on 17 June 2024 By Admin No Comments on Brighton Pride: Girls Aloud, Mika and S Club are all set to slay!

If you haven’t been to Brighton in a while, get ready to return this summer. Brighton and Hove is home to one of the most spectacular pride celebrations on the continent. The parade at Brighton & Hove Pride takes place on the weekend of Saturday 3 August on the seafront, and proudly wears the social cohesion theme of WE STAND TOGETHER on its sleeve.

This LGBTQ+ Community Parade is one of the undisputed highlights of the Brighton & Hove Pride weekend and it is a glorious showcase of the charities, community groups and small businesses as well as invaluable emergency services in the twin cities.

Brighton & Hove Pride

It is the most colourful show in Brighton & Hove’s events calendar, with over 330,000 people thronging the city’s streets to participate in the all-singing, all-dancing carnival of colour as it wends its way from Hove Lawns to Preston Park for Fabuloso — the two day concert at Preston Park which has played host to some of the world’s biggest pop stars including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Years & Years, Black Eyed Peas, Pet Shop Boys, Steps, Grace Jones and Christina Aguilera.

Brighton & Hove Pride 2024

This year is no exception. Joining the stable of great acts are Billy Porter, Bjorn Again, Gabrielle, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Alison Limerick and lots more.

Save the date! August 3rd is another chance to chant “Call the Shots” whilst re-creating Girls Aloud’s choreography, and be sure to check out Eurovision 2022’s host Mika deliver his string of hits live the following day. Yes, ‘We Are Golden!“

But that’s not all. There’s a Pride Village Party where entertainment zones, bars and venues, live performances and cabaret, DJs, drag artists, singers, performers and musicians come together for an unforgettable weekend of fundraising celebrations. If you want to hear some DJs spin “Fuego” to “SloMo”, that’s where you want to be.

If you want to wind down in an amazing celebratory weekend atmosphere, there’s a special Pride campsite where you can snooze under the stars — affordable but kitted with everything you need, including catering and shower facilities. The Pride Campsite at Waterhall is perfectly equipped for your weekend stay. The Camp Shop will provide you with all your Pride provisions and on-site catering. You can book your pitch size according to your party size with costs based on the number of occupants. There’s also a dedicated bus service between the campsite and the city centre throughout the weekend.

Brighton & Hove Pride is a not for profit community interest organisation. All ticket revenue raised goes directly to the operational and running costs of producing the Pride Festival, LGBTQ+ Pride Community Parade, Pride Village Party, local community grant programmes, the Rainbow Fund and Social Impact Fund.

Secure your tickets here.

Have you been to Brighton Pride before? Are you also excited about this year’s lineup? Who are you most looking forward to seeing? Do you want to see any of the other artists to represent the UK? Let us know in the comments section below.
