Music that penetrates the soul: the premiere of “The Source of Hope” by Marichka Bodnar SVOYA music

Music that penetrates the soul plays an important role in the Ukrainian music scene. This is the premiere of the song “Source of Hope,” which will be released on June 13 by Marichka Bodnar, the author of the most sincere project in the Ukrainian music space, SVOYA music.

The time in Ukraine is now such that the people are in particular need of inspiration, faith, and spiritual stability. The song “Source of Hope” gives the listener a feeling of love, joy, confidence in the present and in a bright future.

“The single ‘Source of Hope’ is the first track from the new album we are currently working on,” shares Marichka Bodnar, “The album will be dedicated to the glory of our Creator, the strength and indestructibility of the Ukrainian nation, as well as a firm belief in a bright and peaceful future!”

The vocalist adds that the Resurrection of Christ, which is sung in the new song, symbolizes the continuation of life. That it continues and that Christians are able to go through all the hardships with a sincere heart and prayer to God.

Along with the song, the SVOYA music team also presents a music video.

What is special about the music video is that children were involved in its creation – the Bravo dance group from the village of Davydiv, Lviv region. The singer’s daughter also dances in the video. Children, as a symbol of the strength and future of the nation, convey through their dance the unbreakable strength and confidence in Ukraine’s victory.

“With this video I wanted to show the lightness and purity of Christian values. The source of hope and God’s blessing through the sun’s rays fills us every day and gives us life.”

The video was filmed on the territory of the Parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UGCC, a famous shrine in Lviv, which was visited by St. John Paul II in 2001. The cameraman and director of the video is Ihor Pylypchak.
It is worth remembering that in this war we are not alone, and the hand of the Almighty supports us even when we do not notice it. And because of this, our nation is not threatened by any enemy, because with faith in our hearts we will overcome them.

The lyrics were written by the poet Khrystyna Koshulap. The arrangement and mastering was created by a member of the SVOYA music project, the talented Markiyan Mykolyk.

As a reminder, the SVOYA music project was founded by Marichka Bodnar in August 2020 and presented its first studio album, Prayer of the Unconquered, in February 2023.

In March 2023, the band won the She.pisnia 2023 All-Ukrainian competition in the “Bands” nomination. In 2024, the band’s soloist won the Kvitka Tsysyk International Competition.

The SVOYA music team keeps up the cultural front with dignity: they volunteer a lot, perform charity concerts for the military and others, support and inspire Ukrainians with music.
