Dina O’NAIR wrote this song when she was 18 years old, when she and her friends loved to spend time in the woods singing songs with her guitar around a campfire. “My younger brother, who died during the occupation of Irpin in 2022, liked the song “Rain”. He kept the first home recording of this song in his apartment, which was burnt down during the shelling. Miraculously, my brother managed to share the track with a close friend a month before the full-scale invasion began, and she sent it to me a few months later. That’s how the song was found, gained new meanings and now also connects me to the memories of my brother.”
