The rapidly gaining popularity singer IOAN MELNYK releases the first lyrical composition in his career – “Mine”, which is specially scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day. The author and performer, who has been developing his music career while serving in the Armed Forces, dedicated the song to his beloved girlfriend, whose feelings for him are especially acute when he is on the front line.
“Last year, I, like everyone else, was a little bit not in the mood for Valentine’s Day. But now the absence of normal relationships and a loved one is very much felt, so I dedicated this song not only to my girlfriend, but also to everyone else who is separated from their loved ones because of the damn war,” said IOAN MELNYK.
The singer has already received millions of streams on streaming services thanks to his hits “In the Trenches,” “Ukraine, Come On!” and “Native Language,” which have a social message. But now, for the first time, the artist has decided to open up his feelings to his beloved and listeners and considers this work to be a landmark for him.
“This track is simple. It’s about eternal human feelings. “Mine” is a song about true love, which I recognized at a critical moment in my life. This music and lyrics are about a feeling that was born in the depths of my soul,” the artist said.
The track’s sound also reflects an intimate and lyrical tone. Only piano, guitar and an electronic beat were used to record the track.
The upcoming hit is extremely relevant for millions of Ukrainians who cannot be with their loved ones because of the war. The track is intended to have a therapeutic effect on the listener in a difficult situation: “After listening to the song, I would like the listener to feel like when you, after a past downpour and disappointment, felt relieved and realized that a happy ending has come,” IOAN MELNYK explained.
In his work, the artist has always used clear messages to support people in these times. The track “Mine” is no exception: “Even in such a difficult time, only true love can tame a terrible storm.”
