Finland, Italy and Latvia have decided: So which Eurovision 2024 song is your favourite so far? (11 February)

Posted on 11 February 2024 By Admin No Comments on Finland, Italy and Latvia have decided: So which Eurovision 2024 song is your favourite so far? (11 February)

On Saturday the 10th of February, Finland, Italy and Latvia chose their Eurovision 2024 songs. That takes us to a total of 13 confirmed entries for Malmö. Ireland’s Bambie Thug has held the top spot for our past two polls with their entry “Doomsday Blue”. Can anyone knock them off the top spot? That’s for you to decide. Once again it’s time to answer the question: What is your favourite Eurovision 2024 song so far?

Poll: Which Eurovision 2024 song is your favourite so far?

This weekend gave us three very different entries.

🇫🇮 Finland: Windows95man with “No Rules”

In Finland, the televoters used their power — 75% of the overall vote — to rip the trophy away from the jury’s favourite Sara Siipola. They instead handed it to Windows95man, whose humorous entry “No Rules” danced to its own beat. Part Weird Al Yankovic, part hot mess and totally eye-catching, the dance number stormed to the top, leaving Finland lol’ing all the way. Will Europe get the joke?

🇮🇹 Italy: Angelina Mango with “La noia”

For the first time since 1964, a solo female artist has won Sanremo and will take her winning song to Eurovision. The last time that happened Gigliola Cinquette won the entire competition. The possibility of that happening again rests with Angelina Mango, whose infectious song “La noia” was a fan favourite. It beat off stiff competition — including from the televoters’ favourite Geolier. In the end it was the juries who made sure Angelina got through.

🇱🇻 Latvia: Dons with “Hollow”

He was the bridesmaid in Latvia’s national selection twice in the past. But now Dons is finally having his moment. The “Hollow” singer took his soulful number to the top of the Supernova scoreboard, giving fans hope that Latvia will finally return to the final at Eurovision — for the first time since 2016. He’s got the voice. He’s got the song. But will he have Europe’s support? We certainly hope so.

So who did you vote for? Who is emerging as a jury favourite and televote favourite in your mind? Let us know down below…
