Taylor Swift Wows in White-and-Black Look at 2024 GRAMMYs

Posted on 5 February 2024 By Admin No Comments on Taylor Swift Wows in White-and-Black Look at 2024 GRAMMYs

Taylor Swift is looking chic at the 2024 GRAMMYs. The Midnights songstress made a stylish arrival at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards, where she’s a six-time nominee.

Swift hit the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday wearing a strapless, corset-style white gown, which was custom-made for her by Schiaparelli. She paired the dress, which featured a thigh-high slit, with black gloves and matching Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

She went dark for her makeup, opting for a red lip and winged eyeliner. Swift, who had her hair elegantly swept to one side, wore Lorraine Schwartz black and white diamond jewelry for the occasion, including a black choker and several other necklaces to finish her ensemble.

Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, previously confirmed that his Super Bowl practice schedule wouldn’t allow him to make the trip with her.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the GRAMMYs and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for but… unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big old Super Bowl,” he shared last week.

Already a 12-time GRAMMY winner, Swift is poised to bring home lucky number 13 (and then some) during the ceremony.

The 34-year-old pop star is nominated in six categories at this year’s ceremony: Album of the Year and Pop Vocal Album for Midnights; Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Pop Solo Performance for “Anti-Hero”; and Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Karma (featuring Ice Spice).”

With her latest batch of noms, the songstress is shattering records previously held by some of the music industries’ top luminaries — including herself!

Swift co-wrote “Anti-Hero” alongside her frequent collaborator, Jack Antonoff. With the Song of the Year nomination, Swift is now the first songwriter in GRAMMY history to accumulate seven nominations in the category.

She previously shared the top status, at six nominations a piece, with Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie. Her previously nominated songs are “You Belong with Me,” “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Lover,” “Cardigan” and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” though she has never won in the category.

As for Record of the Year, Swift becomes the first artist whose first five nominations in the category were for solo recordings — not from collaborations or with a group — since Frank Sinatra. Swift was previously nominated for “You Belong With Me,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space.” But, again, has yet to win in this category.

Swift does already have a trio of Album of the Year wins under her belt for Fearless, 1989 and Folklore.  Now, with her Midnights nomination, Swift ties Barbra Streisand for the most nominations in the category with six. (Swift’s albums Red and Evermore were also previously nominated.)

Should Swift’s Midnights win Album of the Year when the GRAMMY trophies are handed out, she would secure her place atop Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon for the most wins in the category of all time. To reach that milestone, she’ll have to beat World Music Radio by Jon Batiste, the record by boygenius, Endless Summer Vacation by Miley Cyrus, Did you know that there‘s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd by Lana Del Rey, The Age of Pleasure by Janelle Monáe, GUTS by Olivia Rodrigo and SOS by SZA.

As ET previously reported, Swift will be seated with her “Snow on the Beach” collaborator, Lana Del Rey, inside the ceremony.

Despite speculation to the contrary, ET also learned that Swift will not be performing at the GRAMMYs on account of the tight turnaround on her Eras Tour. She’s set to hit the stage in Tokyo, Japan, on Feb. 7 as she resumes her tour after a two-month hiatus.

Swift will play a four-night stint at the Tokyo Dome before, presumably, making the quick trip back to the United States to cheer for Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs in the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11.

After Japan, Swift is set to perform in Australia, Singapore, France, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria.

In the fall, she’ll return to North America for shows in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver.

The 2024 GRAMMY Awards is on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and being broadcast and streamed live on CBS and Paramount+ from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Follow along at ETonline.com for full coverage from music’s biggest night, including performances, GRAMMY winners and more.
