The new star of the Ukrainian scene, IOAN MELNYK, who began to conquer Ukrainian listeners only last year, releases his first single in 2024 – “Mother Tongue”.
The artist, author and performer is developing a musical career while in the ranks of the Armed Forces. IOAN has become one of the brightest representatives of the new wave of Ukrainian musicians, who broadcast the reflections of our society from February 24, 2022, almost in real time.
IOAN MELNYK makes tracks about his life, his emotions and experiences, which are identical to what millions of people in Ukraine are going through. In addition, the artist is a bright example for society, so he began to develop a professional career while in the Armed Forces, making tracks remotely.
IOAN MELNYK’s new single – “Native language”, like most of his work, is dedicated to rethinking such concepts as Motherland, patriotism, belief in victory and struggle.

In the new release, the artist decided to consider the issue of language and express his love for it in new, modern forms, not tied to school or university patriotism or state ideology: “The song carries Hope and Love both to the native land and to our Ukrainian native language.” , – said the author.
“The song is designed to support the listener and give him strength to live and work in our realities: We go through different life situations, and with the help of songs we want to convey to people that love and life are different, both happy and not. And we must live, support each other and be inspired,” the artist said.
The track by IOAN MELNYK “Native language” is now available on all streaming services: https://onerpm.link/ridna_mova.
