INTUITS – Don’t Play with Me: a song dedicated to exes

Posted on 16 January 202416 January 2024 By Admin No Comments on INTUITS – Don’t Play with Me: a song dedicated to exes

The Ukrainian project INTUITS with the band’s leader Artem Karapetyan present their first single of 2024 – Don’t Play with Me.
The eclectic track is about human relationships and was traditionally recorded with folk instruments and electronic beats. Thus, the song features Armenian duduk, guitars, bass guitar, electronic drums, and keyboards.

The main lyrical theme of the upcoming hit is human relationships. Artem Karapetyan and his co-authors explore one particular topic – crossing personal boundaries: “We wrote a track about situations where other people pry into your soul without asking ‘does the other person need it?

INTUITS conveys one specific message to the listener that is well understood by every adult: “We urge you to take the inner world of a person more seriously,” the team noted.
The track applies to everyone, but it will be especially poignant for people who broke up with former lovers precisely because they did not respect their inner world and treated it as personal property: “You could also say that the song is dedicated to ‘exes’,” Artem Karapetyan added.

The first version of the song was created by the band’s frontman Artem Karapetyan back in 2020 in Egypt during the pandemic. At that time, the musician was unable to travel back home because the world was in fear of the virus. It was under the influence of these events that the song “Don’t play with me” was born. The Egyptian desert, where the frontman often went to sing, also greatly inspired this track.
The idea of creating this particular sound came from the desire to mix dramatic rock with heavy guitars and Armenian pipes with oriental notes.

INTUITS have made a track that takes the listener to another world and gives the opportunity to escape from real problems, dance and dream. The track creates a special mood and has a clear message: “Take people’s inner world and personal space more seriously and think about the consequences if you neglect it,” said the track’s author Artem Karapetyan.
The special track on an important topic for everyone is available for listening on all streaming platforms!
