Katrina Leskanich: Live in London at Putney’s Half Moon (28 September)

Posted on 16 September 2023 By Admin No Comments on Katrina Leskanich: Live in London at Putney’s Half Moon (28 September)

We love watching her walk on sunshine. But even more than that we love watching Katrina Leskanich — formerly of Katrina and The Waves — walking over to the mic in London. And she’ll do exactly that on Thursday the 28th of September at Putney’s Half Moon at 20:00.

Katrina, who famously led the U.K. to its last Eurovision win back in 1997 with “Love Shine A Light,” will reprise her winning song, but also her most recent single “Shut Your Mouth” and other songs from her album Hearts, Loves & Babys.

With a legacy spanning almost 40 years, Katrina is widely regarded as one of the best female pop/rock singers of the 80s. Her high-energy stage shows and ability to snake through genres garnered her a Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist.

She’s excited about her upcoming gig in London.

“Playing an intimate gig like the Half Moon is special because it creates an opportunity for a lot of interaction with the audience which is fun especially when the audience request songs that I had forgotten or were done by Martha and the Muffins!”

The Half Moon is a pub and music venue which has become a cherished space for music enthusiasts and artists alike — it’s one of London’s longest running music venues and has hosted some of the biggest names in pop music, such as The Rolling Stones and Kate Bush.

Tickets (£20 in Advance) are available for purchase on the Half Moon website.
